To say I'm pissed right now is like saying fire is sorta luke warm. **** like this is why the NHL is a second tier league and widely regarded as a joke. This is why ESPN won't give the NHL the time of day. The NHL is a joke, and it's officials are out of control.

You complaining about the two penalties at the end?
Sorry, but I strongly disagree, and yes I'm a Canucks fan but I'm not here to start a ****storm.
You slash a guy strongly on the gloves or wrists and it's a penalty every time a ref sees it. Same with a highstick to the face.

How about when you come near a guys left hand with your stick, and he shakes his right?
Or how about when you don't actually high stick a guy but get called?
And don't give me the bull about not coming here to start a fight. You know you're going to get this reaction from me by quoting me, you're here to bait me, obviously.

Except that the slash wasn't strong (it was Kariya, for cryin' out loud), and the high-stick never connected. Excellent acting in both instances though...the Screen Actor's Guild will be calling tomorrow morning.
Despite your intentions to avoid starting a "****storm," you've probably started one.
Regardless, we probably pull at least a point out of this game if Perron stops trying to make miraculous, low-percentage plays inside our own blue line. Despite his contributions to our first goal, this was definitely not one of #57's better showings.
I dont mind Sydor out there. I dont think hes hurting us when hes out there. I think we could do worse for a bottom pairing guy, its not like he is getting prime minutes.
Pronger thing, Sydor is doing what he gets paid to do.

Someone had to get #44 at some point. I'd rather see it go to someone like Sydor who's at least has been pretty good player over their career than someone like Winchester.
Well at least we don't have to play them again for the rest of the season. The way Sedin shook his hand reminded me of the way a baby acts after being slapped on the hand.
I'm guessing the ref nearest to the Kariya "slash" call, who DIDN'T call it must have had something wrong with his eyes. Maybe his retinas got burned from looking at pictures of Kane's naked chest in the company of Vancouver fatties in the back of a limo?
Not sure.
Very disappointing game. I instantly wondered if these are some kind of overdone make-up to Vancouver for the Burrows/diving/revenge fiasco. All I know is I really think I'd rather see Chicago win a cup than Vancouver. I'm sick of the whining to the refs, the diving and the seemingly magical ability to play a pansy soft game and get most of the calls.
I'm surprised we got PPs for the delay of game penalties.
Oh well. The Blues played fairly well. Conklin was pretty strong. Jackman was probably the best guy on the ice for the Blues tonight. Perron had a forgettable game. Gave up multiple ugly chances, although did have that one gem of a play to set-up McDonald for what would have been a goal 3 times out of 4.
They should be able to get 4 points in the next two games with Edmonton and Columbus, if they play their game.

Jackman did have a great game, he looked great offensively. He had a few great rushes. He also played solid defense.
I hate to pile on Boyes, but he is a turnover machine. I can accept the turnovers by themselves(a lot of great players turn the puck over a lot), but what is worse than the actual turnovers is his play directly after the turnover. He always quits after he turns the puck over. Boyes is a sloppy player, and it has been noticeably worse this season! He has the hands of a surgeon, but the heart of a butterfly.
Did you guys know that Henrik is missing the tip of one of his fingers because it takes less time to get over a partial amputation than it does to get over breaking that bone? Did you know that his brother Daniel got a high stick in the mouth, lost some teeth, played on the resulting powerplay (looking like a True Blood cast member) and scored a goal before he went to the dressing room to get it seen to?
If there is two players in the league that I'm sure wouldn't embellish, it's those two. Even if he had 'manned up' and ignored the slash, it was still a penalty. I have no idea why you guys are making a deal of of this.
