Henke is better now then he ever has been. Despite having a known "weakness" in his glove hand his stats are better than they ever have been. His glove hand has also steadily improved over the course of the season....and to be honest a lot of the supposed weakness of his glove is that its really the only place u can beat him.

Seriously, dude, you're just making things up at this point.
Career numbers? He was under .88 in November.
He will not be as bad, but 0.908 is what I hope for. That is less than 3.0 GAA.

One month a season does not make.

And are you KIDDING me?! 0.908?! I'll be SHOCKED if he finishes below 0.920.

In other words this is the mark of a not very well thought out argument
No, it isn't. He plays his best right now. It shouldn't last long and that is normal. The problem that I see and as decline is that his second best used to last much longer and be much higher. That is what his competition has came up with as of late.

You manipulate statistics to make crazy arguments that do not have any factual basis.

You admitted it before: you like Lundqvist when he is playing good, you don't like him when he is playing bad. Essentially you are a fairweather fan when it comes to Lundqvist, whereas many Rangers fans will stand behind Lundqvist through good and bad, and realize that he will bounce back after going through a tough stretch.

You are not a big fan of Lundqvist. That's fine. But to use these silly rationalizations to prove that Lundqvist is some sort of mediocre goaltender is a losing argument. His stats, Vezina nominations, and actual play prove that he is a better than average goaltender. Your opinions on Lundqvist are just that.... opinions. Trying to pass off your opinions as fact will not work.

This is a message board. Facts are found in other sources.

The rest I kind of agree with. Crazy arguments is what I read this place for.

Yeah, facts are found in other sources...like the numerous prosts that disprove your bizarre assertions.

.925 is pretty damn high, of course sv% appear to be up around the league this season.

What if a shot knocks a brick out of the wall?

Or enough shots would chip away at it until there was a hole

Brick walls are bound to let in a few here and there...unless they're playing behind the Devils defense, them bums !

The wall's stats are inflated by the team it plays for!

Lundqvist does this almost every season. He has a month or two where he struggles early in the season, then January comes and he's a brick wall. And the month he usually struggles in is December. He basically flipped it this year and had his bad month in November instead.

2005-06 January-EOS: 28/27 1,662 63 2.27 783 .919
2006-07 January-EOS: 41/40 2,413 76 1.89 1,078 .929
2007-08 January-EOS: 38/38 2,282 85 2.23 958 .911
2008-09 January-EOS: 37/37 2,200 81 2.21 1,057 .923

EOS = End of Season. GP/GS Minutes GA GGA SA SV%

So, in 2007-08, his worse season SV% wise...he finished at .912 and had his only bad January: 12/12 730 31 2.55 285 .891. In 2006-07, he was insane. His March alone: 14/14 835 25 1.80 400 .938.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/players/...vLYF?year=2009

So take that as you wish. In 2005-06, the month after the Olympics: 12/11 693 29 2.51 333 .913. Not great by any means and we all know what happened in the playoffs, the entire team **** the bed but even then he still kept his SV% above .908. We'll see this time around, though I won't lie, his workload concerns me. Regular season, Olympics, possibly playoffs...it'll be alot.

I added up the months(Jan through April) in each season, pretty sure I got the #'s right. Feel free to double check if you'll like.

He is still good, but not as he used to be two weeks ago. Bad outing against MTL with two high glove misses and bad 1st goal against PIT.
This time I have to agree the team pulls him down with itself.
There 's something brewing internally there, reminds me of OTT. If Kotalik is not back tonight or this week, we've gota serious problem.

Before montreal he gave 10 quality starts (2 GA or less) in a row... cant expect a goaltender to give you a quality start EVERY game

But you can at least hope the mess of a team will field up and play hockey once in a while.
