Ok I don't want to make a new thread but I have a question on semantics. Markov was interviewed after the practice but Price didn't speak to the media. However Markov was in the room. When they let the media in, do they say, OK only the following people are speaking to you today, or do the people that don't want to speak to the media, leave before the reporters are invited in?

Good! With all the pressure that comes with the job of being a Hab player, they definitely do not need these vultures around, especially if they're just looking for trouble.

I love that Markov puts the blame squarely on the media.

""If you're looking for a bad story, you've got the wrong guy," the veteran defenceman said. "You're supposed to help us now because we're going through a tough time.

Damn straight.

euh.... Mariano on 990 is not what you can call a "french media".

Accept it: the wasp/english media is behind that one.

And yes, it looks not only like a FU to the media, but also to the people who keep posting about this team every day.

''They had to try the hug twice, because the first time they tried it, Markov went through Price's five-hole!!!''

I see Captain written all of Markov with the way he handled this in the media. I really think this guy is the captain of the futur for the Habs, he just needs to work on his english.
Like with me and french I could speak it pretty damn well but if I was infront of the media answering questions, I'd definitaly do alot of Stutering

Why did they bother with the BS that's in the media anyway?

By doing this in response to the media, it means they are being distracted and care too much. They should ignore it instead.

I love how Markov stood up to the press afterwards and answered all their questions. He did not even raised his voice yet he tamed them like i've never seen anybody else do.

Spoken like a true captain. This is what we need, hold players accountable inside the room, big happy family outside the room. Markov is behaving exactly like a captain should.

But CKAC is and Bergeron and friends don't want Price on our team for that hug. They are now making a poll about that. The french media don't find it funny at all and it makes me laugh so hard. What a bunch of losers.

Imagine the controversy if Markov would have called out Bergeron or Lapierre in the French media!!!
