Sigh. Another shutout loss.

I honestly believe Ward's not going to get one this year.

Ok, this has been fun, but its time to put a stop to it already... Thankfully the Hawks are coming to town and will put a stop to this winning nonsense.

That's what I thought when the Canes went to San Jose last season. If there's one thing we can expect from this team, it's the unexpected.

Staal's 400th point and tied 5th for franchise assists!

The assist on the Jokinen goal gives Eric Staal his 400th NHL point, and ties him for 5th in franchise history in assists with Jeff O'Neill.

EDIT: ^ Beat me to it.

Not only does Stall have goals in five straight, he has powerplay goals in five straight.

When is the last time a Hurricanes player did that? Ever?

God I wish this team showed up in, say, early December. We might be talking about potential playoff matchups right now instead of talking about climbing out of the top 3 picks.

We get the Hawks on their last game on a long road trip. It would be the perfect scenerio for the Hawks to not have their best game and we end up winning a game where we should get stomped.

4-1-0 since the Captain change. And I've lost count how many ponints Staal has gotten since then. Any one still want to question the change.

Cory Stillman, 2005-2006. Kovalchuk and Michael Ouellet had similar streaks over the same period. So, if he gets 1 more it'll be a Hurricanes Record. Can't find what the NHL record is.
