Trotter White or Desharnais please!

Leave PK with the Dogs for now.

It'S a good time to see what a top 4 of Markov-Gorges, Hamrlik-O'Byrne can do.

Speculate on the next callup

Spacek is out for Ottawa and we need a replacement. Who's your pick?

Quote:
Defenceman Jaroslav Spacek missed practice today and will not take part in tomorrow afternoon's game in Ottawa. It's not because of the flu-like symptoms which kept him out of Wednesday's game in Tampa.

Spacek is to be replaced by a callup from Hamilton, to be announced later today.

I'd call up Weber AND White.

Put Weber on D + PP with Markov instead of MAB.

Then bench MAB and play White on the fourth line.

I don't know if calling up Subban is a good idea. On one hand I can't wait to see him with a Habs jersey. On the other hand its better he plays a full year with Hamilton imho.

Patience. No need to rush him for a team that likely won't make the playoffs. Fortunately if they call him up they can still send him down for the AHL calder cup run.

ha!

PK got 50 games in the AHL plus the preson witht eh Habs.

Webber when he got called up had approx the same.

all i saying is dont hold the double standard.

PK "Patience" Subban has waited long enough.
he has ate up the AHL
he made the ALL STAR team
he has 32 in 47
he is a PLUS YES PLUS 24! his defense game is very sound!

HE IS A WEAPON, i cant wait to see him take off up the ice.

its time he gets rewarded!

Belle, Henry, Subban, Weber

in order of my own preference (Weber has yet to impress me in the NHL, and now isn't the time to take risks). Henry would be a nice, reliable, experienced, intimidating force back there; same goes for Belle.

we need goals, Ryan White is far from bringing that. Heard JM say we need another D. 1 goal in 2 games and we calling up a D

Time for Subban ?

I think it`s time for Subban to have a chance at playing in the show. He`s having a fantastic year in Hamilton and looked so good in the AHL allstar game . Let`s face it,it`s a young man`s game today. IT`S TIME BOB !

Who cares though, if he only plays 3-5 games with the Habs this year? Did it hurt Weber's development? If he's the best d-man in Hamilton, bring him up. There's absolutely no reason not to call him up. He has no pressure on him; the team has been playing like crap, and no will blame him for anything. This is a no-brainer imo, unless Boucher thinks another guy is more deserving of a call-up.

I say go for Weber, it's too bad for him that he's always a replacement though, he can never really gain momentum because he only usually plays 1 or 2 games before getting sent down. Hopefully next year he finds himself a permanent spot. For now, I think it would be a good opportunity for him to fill in and see what he can do.

Why do people think that if you call Subban up he'll stay here for the remainder of the season? When healthy, we have 8 d-men--there's no way he'll stay here for very long. This is a perfect little test to see how he's progressed thus far (for himself and Gainey). He'll play a few games, then go back down to Hamilton and help them fight for the Calder. IT'S A WIN-WIN SITUATION.

If you think there will be NO pressure on him to perform you are pretty naive.

What do you mean? It's only for a game or two. We will not destroy his confidence by a call-up for a game or two. Come on. It's a little candy for his work in Hamilton. After that you send him down.

Hate to say it, but this is the time for PK. On the road for many games, low pressure, just do it.
But I would also love to see Weber up.
