yes we need to get back on topic , the real topic that matters

i liked to sign Ryan Artyukhin and play him on a line with Yannik Weber.

(there back on topic )

Thank you, finally someone echoing what I have said earlier in this thread. It's really a bizarre thing they brought up Weber, very, very bizarre.

do people really believe in Darche on line 2? we seen it , you got a 55 million dolla line up and your trying that on line 2.No offense to Darche but come on now, this would tell me this is the best option we have?maybe you right we see Weber on line 2..dont laugh

many head scratchers ,i mean how can they say they were worried about PK Subban defense? then go out and get MAB then play him as a forward due to it .

playing Ryan OB as a forward?

It's crazy without question for the outsider loooking in , let alone us fans .

team cant score over 2 goals most night .solution? call up a guy from the minor who has 2 goals(1 of them on the power play)

dont get me wrong i like Weber but i the timing and fit doesnt seem right .

oh well another exciting year of head scratchin .

I think Weber was callup bec. he has improve his defensive skill with a +10 plus/minus differential, this stat is important for a defenseman. PK Subban need to break Weber, last year points productions, which he wasn't able to achieve.

PK Subban is plus 24.
Weber is plus 10

Pk Subban has 10 goals
Weber 2

Pk SUBBAN has 6 power play goals
Weber has 1

Subban has 1 shorthanded
Weber 0

Subban 120 shots
Weber
106

and Subban has played 47 games -32 pts

Weber first season 67 games - 44 pts

Pk got 20 games to go , will see if he breaks YW 1st yr point totals.

So, what is you're saying is that since PK has better numbers than Weber in the AHL this year, he'll automatically be better... guaranteed ?

I don't know for others, but I don't expect Weber to be better defensively than MAB right now. However, I can live with the mistakes Weber will make because it's part of his development. MAB is 30 years old. He's no longer a rookie, he's got a role on this team. Weber is still learning. He could be a solid D for us in the future.

PK subban has not played in the NHL

Weber has in the playoffs and scored a goal,

Ill take Weber for now because I want Subban to spend the WHOLE year down there.

As well if Subban came up and regressed how many people would be like wtf he's regressing this is everyones fault 1!!!1!1

Hopefully he sees some time on the PP, but obviously JM will put Hamrlik and Gorges out on the second PP unit instead of giving Weber a chance.

Probably ... like calling up Desharnais and play him on a 4th line .... brilliant!

Weber is going to be a solid, solid player. Glad to see he's over the "sophomore slump," though I really believe it was more disappointment of not sticking in the NHL than a slump.

As far as him over Subban? Good, finally our management as learned to give kids time in the AHL. At least, I hope.

Both have had stellar rookie season there's no doubt about that. As far as compairing both this season... One is playing the best hockey of his career the other had a rough start.

I have a hard time with season stats for 2 players in the NHL. More often then not they are both not in the same situation. One has NHL experience, one is in his 2nd year other is in his first. One had the disapointement of getting cut, the other wants to prove he can play in the NHL(Like Weber had last year)

Thing is Weber is hot lately and I don't think the fact that he sucked early in the season makes him a lesser player right now.

And when you call a player up or when you trade for a player or pick one on waiver. What he's done in the past isnt important, what matters is how good the player is once he's on your team. And with how Weber is playing, with his little bit of NHL experience, maybe a bit more poised defensively they think Weber will bring more then Subban in the NHL right now and that's it.

yes we need more guys to protect the other teams lead!

example Ottawa 3 - Monteal 1 , we need to make sure Montreal doesnt score any more goals .

thank you for dropping by.
I never said he was not trying to score, i said he is working on his defensive skills.

How many game did you watch from the bulldogs this year ?

All you do is quoting stats.

So? Who'll replace Cammy?

Judging by Gainey's reasoning, I'd say either Pyatt or Wyman...

Of course, it should be Trotter or Desharnais, but hey, it's Gainey!

The problem with Pacioretty, Price and Latendresse is that they were given a permanent spot on the roster too soon. Calling up you players to give them the taste of the NHL is never a bad move if for a couple of games, then they know what they need to do better in order to succeed. They work on their weaknesses in the AHL, not the NHL.

That's what happened to Higgins and Plekanec and they were ready for the NHL when they gave them a roster spot.

I wouldn't mind seeing Trotter, Desharnais, Subban and cie for a couple of games, see how they perform and send them back to work on their problems.
