The only reason why I check out trade proposal threads on HF is that they usually are fun to laugh at. This one was a disappointment in that regard. On a serious note though, I'd rather keep Giroux.

Well having a down year means they dont have lots of scoring right now does it not?

8th out of 30th is well-above average. They aren't shooting the lights out, but they are capable of putting up tons of points.

I would say that it is a rather even proposal though, I don't know a whole lot about the Leafs. However, I would rather keep Giroux, partially just because I like almost everyone on the team, and don't want to lose them. I think Giroux can develop into a more important player for the Flyers and I don't want to trade that away.

yes it is, they dotn however imo have tons of scoring like people think up front. Also they are avg i think 3 goals a game. The last place teamis at 2.3. NJ is 20 at 2.6. a diff thoguh not a huge one

Actually a very fair proposal but I don't see Philly doing it. The Leafs would jump all over the forward for D swap.

Giroux is the better player right now and I suspect he will continue to be for at least a couple more years. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, no sense in the Flyers being that far sighted when they're built to peak over the next 2-3 years.

No we don't, and no we can't.

Giroux is too important to the Flyers for Them to trade Him. He's part of the current & future, plus He still has a good cap number. Schenn is in the Sophomore slump and will be a good D-Man in the future. The Leafs rushed Schenn up too quickly and are paying for it now. Neither team does this deal, especially Philly.
