There is no way we should be happy Mueller is a scratch. We need him to turn it around if only to increase his trade value.
While we're at it lets abandon the defensive style of hockey Tippet has implemented, and play more like the Maple Leafs so Mueller can score some goals and improve his trade value. Who cares if it costs the team a playoff spot.
Here's my take....lets lower Muellers value, by letting him sit on the bench the rest of the season, which is what he deserves given he is the worst roster player on the team. He may have more potential than most, but this season it's not happening...the Mueller experiment should be put to rest for this season.
This will help the team this season, it will help keep Muellers new contract low. If Mueller can turn his game around next year, he'll have a cap-friendly contract to go with it. That would provide the best increase in his trade value, without compromising this season.
