To Chicago:

Jaroslav Halak + Tomas Plekanec + Matt D'Agostini

To Montreal:

Patrick Sharp + Jack Skille + 1st round draft pick in 2010

This get's montreal 2 1st round draft picks in 2010, plus the 7th overall pick (Jack Skille) from 2005 which gives us Price, Pouliot and Skille (the top 7 picks from that draft to play to gether going forward).

Montreal can then turn around and trade their 2 1st round draft picks and a prospect to either Carolina, Boston or Edmonton and move up to the top 3 to 5 and pick a Brett Connolly or Brandon Gormley that will make an impact in a year or two.

Doesn't make sense for Chicago since they already have huet and niemi

I don't think he is saying that they are going to make a trade with each other. Just that they are the two teams are most likely to make a trade.

And they are going for the cup, why would they trade one of their best forwards in Sharp?

There's going to definitely be some trades, though. The cap picture is ugly for next season.

EKLUND: I'm following a rumor that a trade will be made by 2 teams one day this season. Habs, Leafs, Flames, Oilers, Sens, Canucks all involved.

Whoa...

I'll go make a thread about it on the Montreal board before somebody beat me to it.

Why ban him? If you don't want to read anything Eklund writes you can ignore the thread and not open it...Seems simple enough to me...

Even though it is mostly BS some members don't mind reading what Eklund comes up with..Makes for interesting discussions sometimes on slow days....
