Knuble scored thirty goals last year, equal to Samsonov's career high, while playing with Murray and Thornton. So, I can't see busting up a productive commodity. Besides, having Samsonov on the second line makes it harder for the opponent to cover.
Only problem is, since Okie gave away Stumpel, who will set up Sammy on this line? We simply don't have a proven NHL calibre centre to step into Stumpy's spot.
Eventually you may just see Samsonov on the first line. But then you'd have only one scoring line. How can you compete with that?
