Kyle Calder Proposal

Hi Guys. Sens fan here. Just wondering what it would cost the Sens to acquire Kyle Calder.

Is it?

1. Established NHLers
2. Prospects
3. The answer is no!

Completely depends on your definition of established NHLers and how good the prospects are.

Pulford has a hard on for Calder, I doubt they'd move him.

That said, we would need an established goal scorer. I personally would love Martin Havlat on the hawks, but that is pretty unlikely (or spezza of course). Unfortunately I don't see a one for one deal that is likely to benefit either team.

Calder is a solid second liner and one of my favorite Hawks. Havlit or Spezza would be total overkill. Not a whole lot I can see straight up for him. (And for the love of christ PLEASE don't bring up White.)

Theres no reason for the Hawks to trade Calder. They are best served holding onto their young core group of Ruutu, Bell, Calder and Arneson at forward and working in other younger players like Yakubov. They should keep this group together, it is a pretty solid nucleus.

On defense we have McCarthy and Vandermeer with Babchuk, Barke, and Seabrook ready to step in. After years of mediocrity better days appear to be ahead.
