Ask MSGNetwork to televise Rats-Wolfpack game Jan. 14th

http://www.msgnetwork.com/contact_us.jsp

A few weeks back I sent them an email asking them if they plan on showing this game and they responded that at the moment they hadn't planned on it but to check back with them in a few weeks if the prospects of the strike ending looked dim, which it does.

I have also posted this on the Rangers forum, hopefully if enough people write to them and perhaps they might show it. Ya never know.

It won't replace a Devils-Rangers game but at least it'll be hockey with our kids going at it against theirs.

According to the MSG TV schedule, this game is in fact being televised on the 14th.

7:00 PM American Hockey League: Hartford Wolf Pack @ Albany River Rats
I hope it's accurate. I haven't seen it listed elsewhere, but I assume they wouldn't just randomly put it on the schedule.

My TiVo shows it being aired, as well as a rebroadcast.

One would think that, but given the Rats this year...uh...I'm not TOO shocked.

It's about time they show a Rats game on MSG. The only reason is because it is the Wolfpack and they have their games televised on MSG for most of this season. If it was some other team we all would never get to see a Rats game on TV.

Looks as if Game Not to Be Broadcast

I was looking at my TiVo early this evening, and I noticed the Rats-Pack game is nolonger listed on the guide for Friday, January 14. I checked the the MSG Network Schedule, and it does not list the game either. Here is their schedule for Friday, January 14:

7:00 PM MSG SportsDesk presented by Toyota
7:03 PM College Hoops Weekly
7:30 PM Future Blue
8:30 PM College Hockey: Minnesota at Minnesota State

Perhaps TIVO is wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised by such a development.

Would Minnesota vs. Minnesota State be worth watching? Is Barry Tallackson worth a view (I think he plays for Minnesota?).

Watching Barry might be cool, but Minnesota State is pathetic. They should have stayed Division II.

Why would they change their schedule? I am still hopeful that this game will be on MSG. It better be.

Nice.

Better to see the Rats than the Minnesota State squad.

Right?

Poor hockey with little hope of winning. I don't know. Call it a "push."

When "the Guide" was printed, MSG had intended to show the game. But I looked at the TV Guide website, and they show the Minnesota-Minnesota St. game on tonight (see picture below.)
MSG even had the game listed on the MSG Network Schedule as recently as yesterday, but not today. Also, my TiVo guide had shown the Rats-Pack game on their schedule about two weeks ago, but the updated it last week and never changed after that.
