The penalty he took early in the game. He just dove out of his net and ended up knocking over the guy attempting to take the shot. That's IIRC. It all happened so fast.

Phoenix doing a good job of keeping us to the outside whenever we get possession of the puck in the offensive zone.

Gotta watch out for Phoenix jumping a defenseman into the rush. A lot of 4 on 2 breaks coming back into our zone. Forwards have got to do a better job of identifying the issue and maintaining a 3rd man high...

Only advantage I can see is having a definate #1 and a back up with tons of playoff experience to mentor whichever one they keep through the playoffs. They were thinking Harding first but with Backstrom being hurt that probably is less of an option now. There aren't too many teams with 2 young guys with experience and they drafted Ellis so maybe that is their thinking. Don't know.

a few really bad shifts by Weber-Suter, which is unusual

This is a big game tonight guys, I'll be watching as usual.
Welcome. You must have the same schedule as I do tonight? Back and forth between TBL/ATL and PHX/NASH and SJ/DET after. Thank goodness for remotes.

Well, it's a change in pace from the last few games that's for sure.

And welcome San Nash!

NO! I don't want Ellis to go and if he does go I hope it's not back to Dallas

P.S. Steelies game I went to while back home we lost, oh well, had a great time.

Ah, thanks. I just saw a 2- and assumed it was Ward. Now maybe Smithers and Ellis can talk about it after the game.

Glad you had a good time. They had a bunch of call ups the last month and they had a bad couple of weeks. Got a few back and now all is well again. Still #1 in ECHL. I'm gonna go tomorrow night.
I don't want Ellis to go back there either. I rather see Auld and Climie next year.

We have to figure out a way to open up their defense in the slot. It's too crowded for point blasts, but it isn't as though we're an incredibly talented passing team either. Damn I hope Phoenix gets away from their system for a period or so tonight.

OK, Phoenix has the best record in the league when scoring the first goal, Nashville the third best...I think it is fair to say first goal wins???

The Preds have to make a couple adjustments in the locker room to clean up the defensive zone, insure that the puck is getting out over the blueline everytime, moving through the neutral zone with speed, and going deep into the Phoenix end of the ice...

Legwand had a few bad giveaways in that period, but is playing well defensively. O'Reilly...so far has been invisible...

Need more traffic and pucks to the net to challenge Bryzgalov. Making it far too easy for him thus far tonight...

What happened to Franson? He played the first shift and hasn't been back since.

Legwand was the only person who could skate the puck into the zone but then promptly gave it away both time. Back to the dump and chase I guess.

He's a lucky guy. Goes from horrendous, to terrible to not bad in the same week.
