Maybe he finally picked up a newspaper and found out "hey, we're really in this thing".

Pete doesn't strike me as a guy that reads much.

Ha. I think we're going to have to get used to Pete turning it off and on, that just seems to be a natural part of his laissez-faire approach to the game/interviews etc. As long as he can turn it on in the games that matter for us, I'm OK with it, but it may lead to a few more grey hairs developing on Tippett's head.

He did perform on the big stage at the world juniors, so presumably he has another gear in him. Let's hope he realizes that.

We have money why go out and trade mueller, why not bring in a player to play with mueller.

God I hope not, Mueller for a serviceable defenseman just makes no sense. As many have said and I will continue to trumpet, if Mueller goes it better be for another player with equal potential not mere depth. Filatov, Jack Johnson, etc. That's the level I would expect back, regardless of "need".
