went to the game today, ill take the point after the way the Monarchs played the first 20 minutes, and a very weak, weak call on Giuliano with under 2 minutes left. congrats on the win, 1 point seperates the 2 clubs with more then half the season to play and neither team has won anything yet.

With the Shootout win tonight the Pack have PASSED the Monarchs and now are in sole position of 1st place in the AHL.

Monarchs have 2 games in hand though...but nobody cares about the small details.

i got a question for the people crying about the shootout rule, you like it now? Its one of the reasons(besides the head to head yes i know) that Hartford is in first. Hartford has 6 SO wins, and Manchester has only been in 2 SO winning 1.
Everytime i look up Hartford is either in OT or in a shootout.

I've been against the shootout since its inception, even more so as a King/Monarch fan

ahhh ok. i was just wanting to ask since i think Hartford has won the last 6 games in the shootouts. I would much rather have a 10 minute OT myself then the shootout.

I persnally dont like it. I like it when two teams battle in OT to get the extra point. A shootout in my mind cheapens the win, it goes from a hockey game to an All-star skills competition.

Good to see Hartford in first place though

WolfPack loses to Albany, 5-1. Monarchs beat Worcester, 7-4.

Manchester back on top...for now.

All Canadians spell it with an A. Canadiens is a historical term refering to the French settlers who first came here. The Enlgish swapped the E for an A to get our current term.

The team name is the Montreal Canadiens no matter what language. The english spelling for a resident of Canada is Canadian, and the french spelling is Canadien. But when talking about the hockey team itself its always with an E.
