I'll never understand why coaches keep using Ryder in the shootout, because he hardly ever uses his shot. I used to pull my hair out when he was with us and he'd try a stupid deke like he did last night because they never work.
Ryder is 2nd in Boston in terms of Shootout %. Maybe that's why.

Yeah I remember that, I just laughed when he went to his crappy backhand, so many frustrating memories.
But a week ago the Bs won a shootout and Ryder scored with his wrister, I remember when I saw that, saying damn why didn't he ever do that in Montreal?? I guess judgeing by last night, his wrist shot a week must've been an accident or something.
oh man, watched game at chez serge last night, woke up drunk, late for work & with no voice. Was worth it.
It is disgusting the way Chara dived last night. He felled to the ice like he was hit by a truck from behind. And who was hitting/tripping him? Little Gionta, the smallest Habs forward. From Gionta's reaction, you can see that he is so disgusted with Chara's dive. Bruin's players fall at every hit to try to get the call. I guess Savard has a big influence on his teammates. Somebody has to remind Bruins players that hockey is a Winter Olympic sport and not a Summer Olympic one.

I really like Martin's system of allowing 45+ shots, getting down by 2 goals and hoping for a PP.
It's genius! Tire the other team out by allowing so many shots. When their arms start to get tired, bam, tie it up, squeak into overtime and let your goalie save you in the shootout!
You may be right but the Bruins were far superior at embellishing last night with a 6-2 PP advantage...That's not to say the Habs didn't deserve some of these 6 penalties...
The David Krejci hi-sticking call on Markov was a legit call and had to be called by the refs...I don't remember the Hunwick hooking penalty...Did the player Hunwick hooked embellish so the ref would call it? For anyone who remembers the call was it legit?
Either way with only 2 PP's the entire night I don't see where the Habs embellished calls..If they did they must be lousy had it with only getting 2 PP chances the entire game...

It was totally legit. Skostitsyn and Hunwick were racing back for the icing.. kostitsyn was trying to avoid it, and he got there a hair before hunwick but hunwick hooked his stick, kostitsyn still managed to null the icing though. But it was definitely a legit call.

Okay thanks...Since both Bruins penalties were seemingly legit calls where was the Habs embellishment to get calls from the refs? Just wondering....

I thought that was weak. Kostitsyn was holding Hunwick's stick and used it to beat him to the puck
That said two of our penalties were on pretty blatant ugly dives, but it's not like diving doesn't happen around the league. The Chara one was sad though
Good job by the boys coming back from the 2 goal deficit, they had to battle the Bruins and the refs to come out with the 2 points.
Halak is unbelievable, in the zone right now and giving this suspect group a chance every night.
Man the Bruins were diving all over the place, it was pretty pathetic. Do the refs not take a look at the penalties during intermissions? There should have been several unsportsmanlike dives called last night, especially on Savard and Chara. Their fanbase must hate this considering how long they have criticized Montreal for diving. Lovin it.
