not bad since we likely won't get a PP vs Cindy anyway

Habs suck on even strength:

http://www.nhl.com/ice/teamstats.htm...ewName=summary

In that context having a PP that is firing on all cylinder is huge: Habs are currently 2nd:

http://www.nhl.com/ice/teamstats.htm...ewName=summary

Guess who ranks 2nd in Habs land in terms of PP points and 20th in the league?

Habs:

http://www.nhl.com/ice/playerstats.h...iewName=points

NHL:

http://www.nhl.com/ice/playerstats.h...iewName=points

Yep… it is Marc-André Bergeron. All that for 750 000$ per season.

It is not a good news but this team is resilient and has options: Weber on the 1st PP?

His presence on the PP is very underrated. Spacek's inability to hit the net makes this an even bigger loss.

That is one less thing for the opponent to key in on. We now have no real threat to complete Markov's cross ice passes. Basically, we will have to try and beat them down low with Markov roaming around or try to get him open for the shot.

Maybe Weber will play tomorrow...as a forward. Replace Bergeron on the point? Who the **** knows with this team.

The driving force behind many of our so called fans is indeed hate more then love for their team. If Price/Gill/Spacek/the K brothers would have a career ending car accident some people here would rejoice.

And yes, it is scary.

Maybe Weber takes his place on the 4th and PP?

He can't score as a forward, what makes you think he can do it on defense?

This board has nothing but hate
unless you get 8 straight shut outs or score 10 goals a game
you suck and need to be hurt

Putting SK74 on the point for the PP is also a possibility, although Martin's reluctance to put him on the PP probably makes this a non-option.

Celebrating injury should be a bannable offense.

My guess is that Weber will suit up on line #4.

For real? He had an amazing goal on tuesday, and given his last few games where he's been given a chance on a line with more offensive players he deserves a chance. Plus he has quite a shot.

Probably a little kid who thinks it's 'cool' to celebrate an injured player. There are lots of those types here. Probably writes the word 'Fail' and 'Wut' whenever possible.

He's good at passing and creating plays. Not sure about his shot but he won't shoot much. I think I read he used to play the PP point back in London - not sure though.

He does scare me on the defensive side of the PP though - but lately we sucked on that aspect anyway - we gave so many scoring opportunities on our PP...

He never had a chance to play on the powerplay this season except something like 20 seconds against Vancouver and it lead to a goal.

Who said he has to score when put on the point? He has a good vision, he can feed the puck instead. I love Gorges, but I rather have Sergei on the point on the powerplay.

Martin already cut his bench (ref.: Maxwell and D'Agostini's TOI in the last 2-3 games) so, in the current context (injuries, the much needed Olympic break is within reach...), Weber on 4th would not create a problem.

And Weber sure has a booming shot. I like your proposal especially if Bergeron's injury is not serious.

You are right: it goes beyond his great PP stats. Habs' opponents were definitely paying close attention to Bergeron's booming shot and it was creating some space/opening lanes elsewhere.

What is a PP? I doubt their existence.

Yeah I'm betting they'll just have Weber in MAB's role (4th line/point on the PP)
