Its a lose lose either way IMO. Sather will never recognize the fact that this team is "out of it" so what good will that do for the future? What good will another first round loss do for this team? A few more games of revenue? - Nah. This team is ****ed.

Couldn't have said it any better. I hate to want this team to lose, but the only way it improves is to sell off the likes of Prospal, Jokinen and Girardi for picks and to finish in the bottom 3/5 this season.

I understand how a playoff series could be a loss. But how can a higher draft pick be a loss? Sather hasn't traded away any of our better prospects post-lockout (so far) to acquire a big name player.
We all know this team is ****ed, but all you can really do when your a fan of an organization who is struggling like the Rangers, is hope for the best.

Say 90 points make the playoffs. They need 33 points in the last 24. They currently have 57 points in 58 games with a lighter schedule. What makes anyone think theyll get 33 at this point? Its going to be around 20-25 tops. Good for 77-82.

Flyers are still shaky IMO and the sabres have been on our level of awful when it comes to offense recently.Maybe miller finally came down to earth?

Sorry to be a downer guys. As a fan i have to hope for some losses going into the Olympic break. Its the only way well improve the future. Sather has to sell and the only possible way he does that is if its evident by the break its going to be a very tough task. I know weve come back and made a run each of the last few years, but not this one.
True but the Rangers don't physically match up well against them.
Factor in too they have scored just 2 goals in 3 meetings.
To be fair, before this season the rangers actually shut down the flyers pretty well even with some shutouts here and there and the flyers still ended up 4th or 5th and high in GF.

But over the next 12 games they only play 1 team out of the playoff picture. sorry.
There's no better way to get into the playoffs than beatings teams that are standing infront of you.If you just beat bottom feeders the teams ahead of you will just beat them too and it won't solve anything.Now if they beat the teams ahead of them they go up a game and 2 pts.The oppurtunity is there lets see if they capitalize.
Standing ovations for Kovalchuk every time he touches the puck...boo everyone else on the Devils. All I want at this point is an exciting game, looking forward to it
