Watching Marty last night he looked very shaky and didn't handle rebounds well. The Leafs shot from a lot of bad angles and he looked off . Rangers need to fire away tonight

One step closer to lottery?

I'm gonna miss this game. And get this - I'm going with my brother to the Isles game. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing. Then again, DVR makes it so I can't miss this game even if it's horrible.

That said, LGR!

Yeah I saw some of the game and Marty definitely looked off. I hope we can get better D and goaltending this game than against the Caps and it should be a win. I'll be there tonight so they better not let me down!

We're chasing Marty out tonight.

Joli will have another goal. Gabby with 2.

Kovy will overwhelmed.

Not predicting a score but we'll win.

6-2 Devils.

Kovy with a hat trick...one of many to come in the Garden after he signs with us in July.

If I wasn't treating my friend in the Navy to this game I'd have sold these tickets a while ago. God why am I even bothering. And MSG2? The Rangers are home, start 30 minutes earlier than the Knicks and are still on MSG2 **** you Dolan.

It will probably be Steve and Chico. Doc is calling the Caps-Pens game tomorrow.

Gain the zone with three forwards...have one of them take a low hard shot and the other two crash the net for a rebound.

We need to do this more at even strength if we want to have more offensive consistency. I'm sick of seeing this dump and chase bull**** where the defense gets to the puck first and can make an easy outlet pass out of the zone. Any decent goalie in the league will beat us if we aren't creating traffic in front.

With that being said, the most important thing is to limit defensive breakdowns. Kovy adds a lot to their offense and our D will need to be solid all game long.

I do not have my expectations high for this one. Hopefully my first GDT will result in a win though haha

I really can't stand what seems to be about 90% of this board.

We've got the Tank crowd who actually thinks that tanking will benefit this organization.

We've got this Kovalchuk orgy going on for a player who has done absolutely nothing for the franchise he has been on, has a piss poor attitude, and WOULDN'T solve our problems even if he was on OUR team (he should fit in great in NJ cause they're actually a real organization).

Now we've got people in this thread saying we should cheer Kovalchuk tonight.

You're kidding, right?

An arrogant me first player who was just acquired by our bitter rivals and you guys are talking about cheering him tonight? You're all a complete embarrassment.

If you want to cheer a Devils player tonight, why don't you cheer Zach Parise? One of many guys who could've been a Ranger if our organization wasn't such a joke. A guy who actually plays an all around game, busts his ass, and hopefully will lead Team USA at the Olympics to some big upsets.

I'll be at the game tonight and I hope Avery goes right after Kovy like in the playoffs a few years ago. I hope Kovy shows his me-first attitude and gets frustrated and ends up costing his team. Not one ounce of my body will be cheering for him in any way.

I hope we win 5-1 and Kovy gets shut out. Boy, that would really piss off the Rangers board wouldn't it?

At what point in the game on Thursday did you or anyone else actually think we were winning? There was not ONE moment in that game where I had any faith we were going to win.

Nice job rob! Cheering Kovalchuk while he plays for NJ?? NEVER.

But...I'll take a top 5 pick over a first round match up against the Caps with the way this team is currently constructed.

The odds of us having a top 5 pick are extremely slim. Having a top 5 pick in no way guarantees a changing of the tide for this organization either.

But a bunch of 1-5 picks do..

Been around way to long to realize there are no guarantees.

First round dismantling by a far superior team does dick for this org too.

Let me add I'd take squeaking into the 8th seed over the 12th -14th pick though.
