I'm new to skating and hockey, any suggestions?

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL.
So you go from only very few C level players who can do that to a handfull of elite NHLers... but you're telling the OP poster he should try it, I guess you want him to get noticed by NHL scouts or something? Why am I not surprised though, if someone thinks biking and stairs are a comprehensive system of leg workouts it says it all LOL. Aside from steady state cardio being completely useless for hockey, this'll developp no strength unless you're total beginner. Sorry dude, but your posts have been a mountain of fail here.

While you might be an NHL coach who knows everything to the utmost, most people here don't. If you want to be arrogant, instead of helping, go somewhere else. We have a nice site section here where people help each other without being ******** and we don't need you ruining it, Kareem or whatever your name is. If my advice is "a big mountain of fail" I'll listen to Head Coach when he says it, not some anonymous, know it all 14 year old who's busy dl'ing Hannah Montana.

You should have stopped there. The rest of the post goes against the section I quoted above.

Cooler heads always prevail.

Ditto. I realized you recommend figure skating lessons to someone who was beginning and it takes a big man to do that. It's quite good advice if someone takes it. I honestly wish I had done that a long time ago.
