Since joining the Blues, he does appear to have avoided the major injuries that set him back when he was with the Leafs. He can play with a bit of an edge as well, something the Kings could use on the back end:
He kind of has that Tim Gleason style of play, where he was expected to be an offensive defenseman coming out of juniors but developed more into a physical defender who will stand up for his teammates (although not the greatest scrapper).
While not the best option or someone I would consider high on a priority list, I think he could be a capable depth defenseman. More so than Randy Jones.
But yeah, I just pointed it out because it made sense, I wouldn't be surprised to see Lombardi inquire about him, whether we get him or not will obvious fall to the price, if it is low enough, then why not?

Not sure Carlo would make much of an impact. I'd like to see a #2 dman traded for to better utilize Jack Johnson as a #3 which is where he belongs. Then you have the 3 quality stay at home defensemen. Right now the Kings have 4 stay at home and 2 offensive, I think they would be more complete and playoff ready with the equal 3-3 ratio.
