Kings Ready To Meet Ducks' Energy

Tons of quotes from players from the morning skate today. Tom Murray has done work for FSN in the past. Now it appears he's got a new job reporting for ESPN Los Angeles. Here's a link to his new blog:

Here's snippets from the story:

Ryan Smyth said he felt the edge coming into this game: "They're a desperate hockey team. We gotta keep playing. Obviously we want to keep climbing and continue to play well. We know how important this game is. The rivalry and they're trying to get themselves into it and keep climbing. We're worrying about ourselves and trying to keep up with the top pack.

"During this nine-game winning streak, we've come from behind in six of them, which is a great sign of a good character team and the desperation that we're playing with, but you can't spot teams leads like that. It's not gonna happen in a playoff situation. Now is a critical time. Don't get down more than one or two and hopefully be ahead the whole game."

As for what the Kings need to do better than they did on Saturday against Detroit, coach Terry Murray said puck management is going to be key tonight.
