Zipay wrote on his twitter that Callahan missed practice (rest) and Gaborik getting cut. Nothing about any defensemen getting hurt.

well that is pretty interesting...........roster freeze coming up folks. I really think Girardi and Rozy could be moved. Hoping more of a Rozy salary dump

I think Sanguinetti is still injured.

Of course, Potter is a right-handed shot...(cue the Rozsival rumors).

You almost gotta believe someone is gonna get dealt here.

Staal - no way
MDZ - No way
Girardi - Possibly - better be a good return
Gilroy - Possibly
Rozie - Most probable - along with prospect?
Redden - Impossible (but yeah!!! if it happened)

As Potter is a defensive player - hmmmm its maybe Girardi nonetheless?
Otherwise why not call up more offensive options Heikkinen or Sangs - neither of which looked totally out of place their previous stint in NYC??? Or are they injured perhaps?

Interesting with the buzz around Florida...

And btw with the potter recall and the Joker trade - arent we out of capspace entirely (over the cap??)

hmm...the question is, do you have to be cap compliant on a per-day basis as long as you are compliant by the end of the season? weve had a ton of games where weve been below the cap by X amount of dollars, does the built up a certain dollar amount that we are now allowed to exceed the cap by?

We are under the cap because you don't add the whole Potter contract, its prorated, and I am sure he won't be here long. Before he came up today according to cap geek we could of taken on a contract over a million dollars.
