Guys there are ton of names being mentioned on both sides. The Rangers are trying shed more salary like Rosies and Florida is trying to make the Rangers give up young cheap players to take it on. Rosie and Brashear are the types the Rangers are trying to move and Florida is like ok but Dubi or cally is coming to, i hear it is early stages and not 100% happening .
so there it is, we can chill now.............makes sense to move Rosie or Brash.........I would think Brash is the crap contract and Girardi is the young player the Rangers are offering. Seidenberg/Leopold are UFA's. Panthers have alot of guys under contract and none really stick out as great options when it comes to 2nd tier......Frolik would be great cause he's cheap but not realistic unless Rangers offer up a young prospect back I am sure

If the Rangers can unload Rosy AND Brash in the same trade, but with out trading Cally, Dubi, or the Rangers 1st this year, Sather will be a trade genious.
Let's see, we have a player hurt in practice, a major storm coming and almost no one in the minors who has a lick of pro experience... Oh, and a coach who's on his last nerve regarding one of our 6 dmen. I dunno - I'd love for this to be a precursor to (the right) trade, but I highly doubt that it is.
This team is going nowhere until they get cap room and get more scorers in here. If you can shed Rosy's contract to bring in player like Horton in its a no brainer to add dubinsky IMO.
I seriously doubt it'll be for Horton. He's probably out at least another two weeks with a broken leg and he's been their best player this season. I think just about any package we give up for him would be a step backwards for Florida.
Plus, I don't see Sather making a move that would tie up salary for next season and beyond, thus taking him out of a potential Kovalchuk sweepstakes.

That's just awesome that JerkWad has to sacrifice Brandon Dubinsky/Ryan Callahan in order to clean his hands of his key addition in Donald Brashear.

I didn't say, nor do I want, Sather to deal either Dubi or Cally to unload Rosy and/or Brash. If I was the GM of Florida and was willing and able to take on a bad contract or two, i'd swing for the fences and ask for one of those guys to start off the negociations.
Will they just take Rosy and/or Brash? Of coarse not. Will they get Dubi or Cally in a deal to unload them? Not a chance.

I don't think Florida will think that that is enough going their way. Like you said, Dubi is good, but not that good. Rosy doesn't really add anything to the trade except for salary and Girardi is a minute eater but hasn't had the best of years. He adds some value, but not enough to balance out the trade.
We couldn't afford Heatley. We can afford Horton, who is (at this point) a much better player than Dubinsky.
Horton has been known to be a heartless, passionless player, who shows up when he feels. He's been in Florida over 5 yrs, he's helped them win ****. No thank you, don't care about his talent. Dubinsky bleeds blue, I'll take that on my team over some lazy ass. Just like I'd take Strudwick over Redden (nvm their contracts), don't give a **** about his outlet pass or his pts, Struds brings it every night!!
Unload Brash? Waive his ass, he's garbage, doesn't even play, OMfingG
Dubinsky is not as good as Horton. And many Ranger fans love him cause he's home-grown.
Girardi is expendable with all the young d in the system.
And who cares about Rozsival?
