There hasn't been many rumblings and the Kings play tomorrow, so I'm not entirely sure what's going on.

If the Kings acquire someone, would be available in time for tomorrow?

If not, I'm sure we'll get the great pleasure of watching Harrold up as a forward and Jones back in on defense.

Usually if someone is waived to open a roster spot the announcement is made at the same time as the addition announcement. I don't see why they would do it this way and stir up rumors.

Might be a bit hard, since Segal cannot be sent down till 9am tomorrow. Really I see the Kings have two options.

Make the trade(If there is one) and send Oscar Moller down temporarily. It will open up a roster spot and then when Segal is either lost via waivers and or sent to Manchester you call Moller back up. This would give a player acquired a better chance to make it to LA

Wait till 9AM tomorrow before you do anything. With this option I doubt a player will make it to LA in time for the game depending on where he's at.

That's nothing new. They began scratching him last month.

Segal can pass through waivers and still remain with the Kings. He doesn't have to report to Manchester. Once cleared, he can remain on the roster and won't have to go through the waivers process again to be reassigned.

Very likely that they are preparing to send him down with the Olympic break upon us. Moller and others eligible to play in Manchester will likely be sent down as well after this weekend.

Another reason this makes sense now is that not many teams would want to pay him to sit on their roster for two weeks during the Olympic break.

When you look at their roster, he's the logical choice. The only other forward standing out from what I can tell is Elkins.

I don't understand the reason for calling somebody up for a couple days unless that player is going to get traded.

This move doesn't really make sense if all they are doing is bringing up an AHL player for two games and then presumably sending him back for the Olympic break. There has to be more to it. Maybe we are waiving Segal, knowing that he WILL get snatched up by a particular team. Maybe we are "trading" Segal to Edmonton for future considerations?

Meh. Segal wasn't performing to their wanted level and Clune earned a callup is all I see.

Yeah. Lets not get ourselves too riled up over a possible deal before the break.

Or you just had a game against your big "rival" in which you looked like crap the entire game and NOBODY went out to spark the team. Enter Clune.

Lawman isn't the lynchpin of a 9-game winning streak so no tears over here. Look at his entire body of work while he's been here and it's nothing to get excited about. Clune will probably get in on the forecheck more often and is faster.

Also, this was Clune's spot until he injured himself at Frozen Fury. He's had some other injury issues but he has done everything they've asked of him and he provides an element that this team lacks, something that Segal doesn't fill.

Would Ivanans and Clune be dressed together?

I saw a Manchester game a few weeks ago and have to say that Clune makes himself known. I have no idea of the skill level but he has some speed and always takes the body. D-man did not like always getting crushed into the boards...

Weird to maybe lose Segal just to bring up Clune. Oh well, I hope Segal clears.
