What I've been told, Segal wasn't told till after practice, as he looked very sad after practice.

that has got to be a major bummer. He should just go work his ass off and he'll be back (or get picked up by somebody else).

if anyone has seen Clune play in the preseason you know that guy is a major spark plug. I expect him to make himself known fairly quickly. I was bummed when he got hurt at Frozen Fury this year. I think he has done that two years in a row now.

I agree it sucks to see someone so disappointed, here is a guy who has toiled in the minors for years (only 2 NHL games) and finally gets a chance, plays 25 games with one of the better teams in the league and now is right back to riding the bus.

But ultimately its a tough business, and when you are a fringe player like Segal, you just have to accept it and realize your career is probably going to consist of many callups and demotions.

He's the kind of guy that will be recalled when the rosters are expanded for the playoffs.

I don't see the sense in that.

Cluen must be a huge upgrade over Segal.....

Segal is bigger, but they're both pretty crappy fighters. Clune is suppose to be a warrior though so we'll see.

Clune seems like Tom Kostopolous lite. Hard worker, physical, heart and soul leader type of player who couldn't beat down Betty White if the fate of mankind depended on it.

Damn it, keep it to yourself.

Now, I'm gonna have to split my winnings.

As per Segal, it all came down to him not stepping up (fighting, utilizing his size) in games.

At least, that's how I see it.

I don't feel bad. He made half of what I make in a year in his month as an NHLer.

Clune was assigned to the Reign... Hammond predicts a move tomorrow.

It seems very likely that some type of move will take place tomorrow, so we’ll see how it shakes out in the morning.
