Lockout defenders.

Noticed the Czech league is stacked with lockoutdefenders, mostly from the Czech Republic. Has anyone stood out and dominated the league? Kubina, Hamrlik and the Kaberle brothers are all quality players in NHL, how have they looked?

Kubina was injured for a long time, Roman Hamrlik is loosing with his older brother Martin. Rostislav Klesla is a beast, second in the league with penalties. Karel Pilar is doing really a good job in Sparta Prague, Rachunek has a good point per game ratio, he left to Russia.

But so far, the best D in the league is a Kaberle Tomas, no doubt.

Tomas Kaberle is top defenceman in the leaue, other notables are Pilar (Sparta), Fischer (Liberec), Klesla (Vsetin) or Trnka (Plzen). Frantisek Kaberle and Pavel Kubina has been injured for some time, Karel Rachunek who appeared very well left to Russia. On the other hand, Roman Hamrlik is in the shadow of his brother Martin, Jiri Sler had a better start, but now he is not so ood, as well as Martin Skoula. Jaroslav Spacek has been traded from Plzen to Slavia for his poor performances. Others are just averae - Rozsival, Modry, Kloucek, Majesky, Malik havent showed anythin extra, Martinek and Ference plays for Ceske Budejovice in 1.division and it their team with Turek, Prospal and Dvorak is dominatin whole competetion (yesterday they beat 3rd team 11:5)

I don't think Hlavacka should be allowed to be called a DEFENSEMAN

The biggest dissapointments, to me, have been Jiri Slegr (bad +/- and lots of penalties), Petr Kadlec (no offense), and Branislav Mezei.

I miss Kucera
