in the same breath it his season season in the NHL.....go ask Mark Streit .....

You know I just remembered a few years ago I suggested we trade Ryder for Mark Recchi and everyone laughed and laughed and called me names and etc...

Would have actually been a pretty solid trade. He was with Atlanta and Ryder sucked with us and wasn't even playing, and Recchi went on to score many more points.

All well and good, but what makes you think that one of the crappiest teams in the league, with a boatload of money invested already in D, would trade a solid young defender for a veteran with a 5.5M cap hit? Please tell me that this worked in some videogame, because you really have no excuse otherwise. Although videogames also have a salary cap, so I really don't know how that worked.

Settle down man...i'm not saying Arthukin would be a bad idea. In fact, i'd be quite happy with him playing on our 4th line and I encourage this type of move, I just happen to have a preference for JF Jacques ever since his days when he played for the Hamilton Bulldogs. Has nothing to do with language, i've NEVER taken that into consideration when discussing the Habs...I couldn't careless what language a player, coach, GM , President or Owner speaks and NEVER will.

Fixed it for you!

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to see a deal happen. I just don't know what to expect.

Maybe Artyukhin?

Unless I'm confusing him with another poster, I thought that doug mckenzie was used to be a pretty good poster on these boards.

What's going on with this useless Artyukhin mancrush?

You want him, that's fine. Some others don't want him, that's fine too.

Maybe we could talk about some other players in our trade speculation thread? I don't really want to real 3 pages about a 4th liner (extra forward)

EDIT : Are you his agent... because if so, it would make sense!

Pretty sure Jacques is heavier than the 217lbs he's listed at. I just also happen to think that he's more functional and less likely to hurt his team with boneless penalties.

Arthyukin is so raw though...because truthfully, he's got a more than decent skill set, but he's arguably got the worst hockey sense in all of hockey. Granted, I haven't seen him play in over a year and I thought he did decently in Tampa Bay last year...

Either way, I know you're getting vilified here for constantly suggesting him...but I don't think you're that far off

It tells me you are all over the map, say what you have to say instead of asking questions that nobody has any clue why.

Because they thought they needed size on their line not because he's a superstar I read the interview. Apparently it hasn't worked out because he's now been scratched multiple times.

"Artyukhin", stop. You're embarrassing both of us. -- I have it on good terms that this exactly what Evgeny Artyukhin would say if he read this stuff. This man crush is just disturbing.

I don't really like any of those 3 deals. Losing Hamrlik would hurt our defense too much, with all the guys out up front, we can't afford to weaken it.

The Frolov is not bad per se but I can't see us giving him 4.5-5 mil and keeping Plekanec, so the net effect is negative long term.

Belanger is not a bad player and may help us, but he is not worth a 2nd rounder, which is the minimum of Fischer's value(we can either sign him or take the 2nd).

Jean-Francois Jacques has a 109 games /12 nhl points....a career minus (-32)

Evgeny Artyukhin has 182 games /42 nhl points.....a career minus(-3)

That's not what I am saying. Actually, I would give him a shot with the team.

You just need to take a break and realize that you are not the real Artyukhin... don't take the fact that some don't want him as a personnal attack!

Emery is being shut down for 3 weeks by the Flyers, more hip problems. This may open the door for a trade...or not...just thought it could be relevant at some point. Definitely opens the door for Turco.
