The passes have been on target from Richards and Giroux, Gags has just been snakebitten all year. He is getting the chances, so hopefully he buries a lot more in the Playoffs. He seriously missed the net 75% of his chances and he even missed the net while right on the doorstep before his fantastic goal. I love Gagne and will always remember him for his heriocs in 2004 versus Tampa where Roenick's shot bounced right to Simon in Game 6 OT.

Simon Gagne has been nothing but classy during his decade stint with the Flyers and I hope he retires a player for the Flyers.

You lost to Michael Leighton:

TWICE!!!

BTW, if you think we ***** after a big loss, you should go to the NJD board. They have filled two threads with GDT and post game *****ing.

That goal was nice but I was reffering to the goal against Sabres in playoffs. 1st or 2nd home game (do not remember which). He basically skated around everyone and then scored.

They even do that chant when they aren't playing those teams. I saw them play the Thrashers and they were doing it.

That's definitely one of the funniest parts of a movie I've ever seen.

well, I think we should be familiar with that. Think back just a few days ago when the Flyers lost back to back to Edmonton and Minnesota.
That said these were 2 huge wins, yeah it would have been nice to win both in regulation, but at the end of the day I will take the 4 points and move on.
btw, this may be a good question for MSE when was the last time the Flyers had 1 shot in the 3rd period and won? did they even have 10 shots in the last 43 minutes?

strange, both games were almost mirror immages. NJ gets two quick goals, including the second goal in each game off of one of our skates. Then in both games, someone from our third line scores, then in both games Carter ties it up, and then someone from Richard's line wins it

Nice to see 2 consecutive come from behind victories vs the Devils and Brodeur. Hopefully this also ignites Gagne to do some goal scoring for a change.

Is it okay, that I've watched Gagne's goal about 4 times? That shift of his was complete gold.

Only 4 times???!!! I watched it at least 5 times in a row right after it happened, and at least 4 times today.

And you call yourself a fan.

edit: WASN'T Forsberg's goal...........
Thank you for posting this! I still talk about it all the time. We lost that series hard, but Forsberg was almost solely responsible for the two games we did win.

Oh, never mind. I was too.

IIRC he skated around the goal twice and when he was just starting a third go passed it back to Gagne blind, and the puck was in the net before anyone know Forsberg didn't have it anymore.

At least, I think it was Gagne.

Aside from how amazingly hilarious that whole scene is, the marionette work is just astounding with the whole drunken stagger.

Best marionette based movie in the history of marionette based movies.
