Well, at least this Patrick Casse character is painting himself into a corner. We will know tomorrow morning at the latest if he's making things up or not.

Assuming this is just a call-up and not part of some grand drama, I imagine Subban is just along for the plane ride and nothing more.

What is Frolov's salary? Would he fit under the cap?

His annual cap hit is like 2.95 off the top of my head, so yes he fits and easily at that. Instantly helps our forward depth, has good chemistry with Cammalleri too.. I wouldn't mind seeing him return if the price was right.

I hope Subban gets a chance to play...

Can anyone tell me why Maxwell is still up with the Habs? He should be sent down and White called up or maybe Maxwell is part of a trade...

Plus, he is right handed, which we lack.

I am wondering as well.. White brings a lot of physical presence to a team that clearly needs it.

Right handed, Good size, Talented..

He is good enough to push A.K off the Plekanec line when everyone is healthy and have a 3rd line of Sergei-Metro/Laps-A.K

We can't afford him next season. Gauthier would have to shed a bunch of salary...

I have the same fear. Markov seemed twisted flying into the boards, and seemed REALLY pissed (slamming his stick)... Anyone remember if he played 4vs4 in OT?

According to the guide for internet rumour mongering, he could easily get out of this corner. All it takes is a "talk" to a new "source". Then he just has to say "a new Frolov suitor has entered the picture, so now things are more complicated and might not be resolved by the Olympic break. However, I have heard rumblings about Gauthier talking to a southern market GM about a big name player. More to come."

In the rampant speculation that follows, people forget about Frolov and a new cycle begins.

That,s good news. PK is a nice prospect and it is time for some players to show a bit of leadership and help the kid make the transition.

Sound like Eklund's exit strategy.

He will probably play.

Its been obvious that the Habs wanted to protect him and did not call him up all season. If they call him up just for precaution, i think they would call up a player that has nhl experience like Belle or something like that. If he's here, its to play.

I swear I wasn't talking about Eklund. I was talking about, uh (Gorges of the Jungle thinks hard), remember that Code guy that turned out to be a fraud? I was talking about him.

Anyways, I would love to see PK get a taste of NHL hockey. Maybe the wait won't be as long as I thought it would.
