Betts signs 2 year extension for $1.4m(700k per year)

http://www.capgeek.com/charts.php?Team=24

Have not seen it reported by any "legit media" as yet.

MOD EDIT, CSNPhilly.com now has it:

http://www.csnphilly.com/pages/landi...470&feedID=695

Quote:
He’s played only 39 games this season because twice he dislocated his right shoulder.

But that was more than enough games for the Flyers to realize that Blair Betts might be the best penalty killer they’ve had in orange ‘n black since Keith Primeau.

The 29-year-old Betts has agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $1.4 million – $700,000 annually against the salary cap.

I'd chalk this one up to a mistake.

Awesome if true. As a Rangers fan I wish nothing but good things for Blair. The guy is a class act and a great team player.

To say he's earned it is a gross understatement. I hope it's true.

How is re-signing Betts a mistake? He has legit size, wins face-offs, and is their best penalty killing forward, which is huge b/c it limits Richards PK time.

So do I. That's a great price for all he does.

I mean I think someone on Capgeek made an error, how does Capgeek get this ahead of everyone else on the Internet?

Capgeek gets their info directly from the league as far as I know.

I was not aware of this?

I also still think it's suspicious that nobody else has mentioned it.

If true, best signing of the year in terms of value.

Good for Betts too. He had a ATO, and now has 3 years of paid salary

Wouldn't be the first time ever that Capgeek updated it before anyone had it.

I asked Frank, he said he's not aware of anything though

I'll be honest, I don't have an answer that'll make you go "Oh." in some logical, appreciative tone of voice. However, I can tell you, from intently following things throughout my keeper league, I've seen capgeek get info before it's released or relatively known.
