He's also ranked higher in the prospect rankings. Top 10 I believe.

You seem impressed by size and whatnot, but matter of fact is Carlson doesn't seem too quick between the ears, and with similar talents, I'll always pick the brightest one.

I don't see him as a step ahead. PK is quicker while Carlson is more physical, they're just different Dmen. But yeah, Carlson was picked before so he has to be a step ahead, right? Did you watch PK in Hamilton? Carlson in Hershey? They play differently, but PK plays with less talented guys and has as good results as Carlson so far in the AHL. You could always argue that PK plays for a better coach, still, PK is dominating the AHL in his rookie season, as is Carlson. Where's that 'step ahead' I ask ya?? Hype? So far, considering last year's juniors, and this year in the AHL, I'd say they're pretty much on par.

this is all great but Carlson is a year younger than PK and doing some great thing as a 19yo in the ahl

btw, 2 great prospects

I did see both of them this season + Carlson at the WJC, i just love how smooth he is on the ice, his puck decisions is almost flawless for a 19 year old. Alzner on the other hand, he has to realise he's not playing with kids anymore, i remember 2 years ago he and Doughty were the best pairing i had ever seen in the WJC,but he still looks out place, in the AHL...

If he's not up to par, which I don't believe he will be, then he could be in for a looong 2 days.
Wow, the protective emotional barrier comes up pretty quick.

Just tell yourself "they'll lose every game" so you'll never feel the pain of a loss again.

Just tell yourself "that rookie won't offer anything good" so you'll never feel the pain of a player not living up to potential.

Seriously dude, get a grip.

He's dominating in the AHL and will be well prepared by Boucher, like all of the newcomers who have made their mark on the big club lately. He's a pro hockey player, a human being, his mental state cannot be anticipated. He could very well do great as he could also show that he's not yet ready.

I guess he'll play on the PP since Spacek clearly doesn't cut it.

habsinsideout says Mara didn't make the trip and/or Markov, Gorges may not be fit to play.

Hopefully this kid does well, he's got some good potential. I just hope we're not bringing him up too soon.

It's probably only for this weekend, seeing as the AHL doesn't stop during the Olympics. He plus Desharnais, Pyatt, etc will probably be sent back down during the break.

(interview) PK Subban about his call-up.

he talk like a future captain

edit: Do we need to draft Jordan Subban in a few years ?? I would say yes.

Subban on his call up.

This kid knows his stuff. He understands what is needed for him to make the big club.

He'll easily be a starter next season in Montreal if he keeps this attitude.

Plus, he eats up the Montreal media and they LOVE him!
