Somebody better wake Tambo up from his nap so he can keep pace.

Maybe its better if he keeps sleeping. He has already tried to trade Smid and Penner. Doing nothing may actually be a positive for us.

Moore for a 2nd and now this trade? Man, these 3rd-4th line centers are sure worth a lot........Come on Tambo, lets get something done, i'm pretty sure that Pisani or even Moreau can fetch us something better than we previously thought based on these trades.

Horcoff is one of the best 3rd-4th line centers in the game?? Maybe we can get a first

Unfortunately, Moreau and Pisani combined do not equal Matt Cullen's points. If Cullen is a 3rd line center, Pisani and Moreau are more like 5th line players.

So you were not on board to get Heatly last summer? Just asking, because it seemed like everyone was.

not to bring this old argument out of the depths, but there were actually lots and lots of people against the heatley trade.... i know because i was one of them... although i wish i could claim it was because of penner, but it was mostly because of cogliano, lol, shows what i know

I know that Pisani and Moreau won't fetch that kind of return, i'm just saying that the trade market is a lot richer than i thought if Dominic freakin Moore can fetch a 2nd rounder and Cullen (who's a good bottom six player but still) can fetch a roster player AND a 2nd rounder.

A lot of people had mixed feelings or were against it.

I was excited to get a player of Heatley calibre and he does have 66 points but the return was big.

Most people had similar feelings and some thought it was too high.

Meanwhile nothing happening on our front. We need to gut this team even more especially if Carolina is gutting their team.

For me it was because of Smid and Penner, I wouldn't miss Cogs that much if he was traded.

I was apprehensive. Then the begging started and it was just really embarrassing. I would hope our gm is better at player evaluation than I am. If not, look out.

I seem to remember the general thought was, do anything, just get rid of Penner and his contract. Most were apprehensive to see Cogs go

Good deal for both teams. I've always been a big fan of Cullen and his versatility and he also has a ring. He'll be a nice fit in Ottawa with a top 3 down the middle of Spezza-Fisher-Cullen.
