Like our good friend Enver Lisin.
Can we start a Rozival for Norris thread...that would be more fitting.

This guy is a crease clearer, plays with a snarl, comes up with the big goal when is needed and is all around a top 5 defensemen in the league....

This thread has turned from the Michael Rozsival appreciation thread to the vocal minority Michael Rozsival roast-fest thread.

You seriously think the people unhappy with Rozsival are the minority? Post a poll Roszival Good / Bad without excuses and lets see who's right.

No preconceived notions such as contract? That ought to be difficult for the anti-Rozsival crowd.

Because if you've been watching with your eyes and brain this year, it'd appear that hes been pretty solid and our 2nd best defenseman.

The majority feels Rozsival isnt worth his contract, including myself. However the people that feel he is not a decent second pair defenseman regardless of contract are in the minority, like crossbar and a couple others, like the people who think Avery is the best ranger ever and claim seeing Rozsival on the ice "makes them vomit"

Those types of fans. The ones that boo a player after he scores a goal or gets an assist.

You are correct and that is why we are going to miss the playoffs.

Also, we have two rookies on defense...so, if you remove MDZ and Gilroy...it means he is better then Redden(great accomplishment) and Giradi(no great accomplishment either)....so, your point is valid.

Rozsival was picked up off of the NHL's scrap heap before the first post-lockout season. He made peanuts for a couple of years and has now been on the team for 5 seasons.

Yes, he makes waaaay too much money for what he is. But all in all, I appreciate his effort and service to the team for half a decade.

I'll also appreciate when his contract is wiped off of the books and replaced by the next overpaid D.

Rosie is the man

They way he just came to Chris Drury's aid ripping Matt Cooke away makes you wonder - do we really need a guy like Jody Shelley?

I thought Rozi played a very very good game tonight vs Pit. He always comes up big against other team top guys and i personally still think he has a lot to offer an NHL team. He set up the O.T goal with a beautiful outlet pass to Jok, who finally did something tonight, and it was a very nice goal.

It pains you to say?

Are you a ranger fan or not? Do you get happy and enjoy it when he plays like crap so you can post it?

So happy to see Rosie come to Drury's defense there. That was well worth a 10-min misconduct. Girardi, take note.

And by the way, the extent to which that third-man-in penalty is enforced is an absolute ****ing joke. The fact that pulling a guy off of your teammate as he's pounding him in the back of the head while down on the ice is penalty-worthy (and actually game misconduct worthy if the refs didn't use some discretion) is ludicrous. Obviously the third-man-in rule is a good idea in theory, but the refs have to be allowed to use common sense. If the ****ing linesman had done his job then Rosie wouldn't have had to pull that little POS off of Drury.

alot of people have been really down on him

the guy can eat a TON of minutes... play good defensive hockey. what more can u ask? been with the rangers for a while now..

maybe being over paid by about a mil or so.. but looking at the rest of the team.. thats not so bad!

I like him, he is just pricey. he is always trying to make a play and because of that he sometimes turns the puck over instead of just flipping it off the glass and out or any other safe play.
i want no more then one of these three on the team next year: redden, rozsival and girardi. i would vote for rozy even with his price tag.

I appnreciate Rozy playing better so he is actually tradeable

I predict deal with the Oil or Panthers involving salary coming back

Rozsival, Lisin for Allen, Dvorak

or

Rozsival , Lisin for Staios, Moreau

or

Rozsival , Lisin , for Liles, Svatos

I can go on,haha.........basically just looking for teams with cap space and a Dman making around 3 million for the next 2 yrs that comes back as I see that as realistic for Rozy

Yeah, Rosie has to get big credit where credit is due. Why the hell can't he be like this every night?

But Girardi... when will he stop look like Marek Malik out there?
