Great, we can pay them back for one instance, one shift, in a game we will lose because we cant score because of the ineptitude of the architect of this ******, discombobulated team. Payback! YAAAAYYYY,, how about a ****ing WINNING TEAM?

Spinning the wheels once more.

Because we're planning on trying to land some good draft picks in the offseason and instead use one on an expiring skating puncher.

Whether you like the deal or not, you have to be happy about Slats shooting players out like a rocket when they ***** and moan to the media about how they are being mistreated by the team.

Also shows just how untradeable Wade Redden is....

It's actually a damn good pickup. To anyone that thinks prust can handle the heavies of the league you are sadly mistaken. He's a legit middleweight and plays tough but asking him to fight the big guys like Orr, Carkner, Boogaard etc is too much & not fair to him. You have to carry a legit heavy & Donald obviously no longer fits the bill for NY

I don't see what the big deal is here. Brashear is obviously done as a Ranger and Prust, though I like him, is no match for the big boys (Rupp, Orr, etc...) and Voros is useless in that role. Everyone was crying about how soft this team is and we upgrade over Brashear for a pick and everyone is acting like Sather is out of his mind. This isn't a big move and maybe if this guy kicks someone's ass for running Lundqvist then you'll all give Glen a pass.

I understand, but we havent seen the pick yet and this may be a move as a "try-out" to see if he fits in with Torts. The guy is 33 and can throw them with anyone in the league, there were much worse deals Sather could have gone for today I am sure. I actually like the move, Prust can now fight people in his weight-class(who he will beat) and Shelley is here to intimidate the way Brashear was supposed to.

I'm not excited.

I just don't think this is a big story and is somewhat of a necessity in the East.

not much got done today deal wise - i figure the gm's will be in talks over the olympic break and stuff will go down then. it better do, as we have a lot of dead weight on our roster.

Oh man, you're right! That goalscorer Jody Shelley is REALLY going to win games for us! Man, looks like we're out of the top ten! Please.

Yet another mistake admitted by Sather. By acquiring Shelley, for a pick, and not resigning Orr, Sather has yet again admitted he made a mistake that cost him a little bit extra $$$, and a pick.

I don't blame Sather one bit. You don't bad mouth the organization out in the open.

According to the NHL rulebook you can't kick the puck into the net but are you allowed to punch it in?
