Think nothing of it. It's always our pleasure to beat the Slugs.

Was Matt Cullen really liked?

Oh, and sorry for giving you Picard. He sometimes scores in our own net or makes horrible plays.

Cullen was really liked and Picard isn't nearly as bad as you like to say...

It's actually quite ridiculous that your fan base blames him for two goals that went off him and in his own goal in one game... he was trying to deflect one away and the other hit him and in the goal... It shows true ignorance to the game when people blame players on plays like that

True but not too far removed from the constant A. Ward bashing that goes on here. In both cases it's a negative starting point and then seeking out plays to apply the bias to whether it's his fault or not.

Not to say that either Ward or Picard don't deserve a lot of criticism but some of it does go over the top.

In the beginning of the year, Ward might have been the worst full time player in the NHL...

Based on the board mantra, one might think that but it wasn't the case. He was bad out of the gate without any question but just because it was posted endlessly doesn't make it true. Again, he's deserved a ton of criticism for his play but a lot of it stems from hyperbole that isn't even accurate.

He got ripped by multiple posters for how he played the 4-on-2 vs. Edmonton but the ironic part was he played it by the book. The criticism was misplaced because he was faulted for not denying the pass which would have been his responsibility on a 2-on-1. Pitkanen was the primary culprit - he glided back, after making a bad pinch to start with, then took the wrong route, and made a token attempt.
