Not a clue.

I've heard good things, but who knows. I think he was sort of a project. I want him around because of his size.

so 5-6 is kind of his NHL ceiling, just so big almost makes you want to take a chance on him and cross your fingers

Yeah, pretty much. From what I've seen, Hal Gill is probably the best comparison.

HF grades him out as a 6.5, which equates to a 5-6 defenseman.

But he's 6'7... and nobody thought a ton of Zdeno Chara when he was 20 yrs old...

He needs to put on some weight (like anyone his age/size), and work on his footwork (like any 20-year old defenseman not named Doughty). But with a reach like he has, and the organizational depth the Hawks now have with Lalonde, Olsen and Leddy in front of him, he has zero pressure to develop too fast. Next year, my guess is that Hendry will be on the third pair with Connelly/Lalonde/FA. I don't think anyone hopes/expects him to be ready for a couple years.

Exactly. I think we're all hoping, because of his size, that he makes it to the big club.

There's no need to rush anyone. Our D is set for a long time.
