Really..?..Maybe you should ask O'Byrne that, or Spacek, or Plekanec.

Maybe you see a use in placing D'Ago and Desharnais on the 4th line, but I don't.
Instead of having skilled players waste roster spots, barely play and be completely useless, I rather have a tough guy even if he makes mistakes.
At least you'd have someone to shut Carcillo up.

If our bottom six had its purpose and played well, then I agree Neilson wouldn't bring much. Sadly that's not the case. There's not an inch of aggressivity and intimidation on our roster.

Can management send down the entire team on a two week conditioning assignment instead of giving them vacation?

The organisation would surely want to have him play during the break than have him sit home.

Another point to consider, perhaps we need to keep a minimum of players on our active roster.
Considering Darche's age and the fact not much more development can be acomplished in his case, I think waiver rule or not, he has nothing to gain by being sent down. He could have helped the bulldogs though, but if he had some nicks and bruises to heal, now's the time.

send the whole team down? Some of these guys could use the extra two weeks to get out of hockey for a while.. unwind.. heal some booboos both physical and mental.

I should of clarified that when I meant the best interest of the organisation, I was mostly referring to helping out the bulldogs.

I was wondering if they'd send Price down for a "conditioning" stint, especially that he hasn't played much the past month.. It may have done good by him.

Any reason for the bitterness I sense in your message?

would they have to jettison a goaltender in Hamilton to do that?

Not surprising with the break, let the young guys get some more time playing. Since Darche was not sent down I have a feeling he is up for the rest of the year.

That's not even a decision, it's what had to be done.
Rappelé cette semaine de Hamilton, P.K. Subban n'aura joué que deux matchs avec le Canadien.

Yop, agree. It was fun the time it lasted, but the guy still need development time in the minor. But I think he have a shot at becoming a second line center one day.

I'm not sure how Darche feels about this... It's awkward he needs to stay pro, it seems.

I'm sure Darche is happy to be making an NHL salary. He's waiver eligible now (after 10 games played, I believe).

Darche passed the waiver limit last weekend. There was some discussion on RDS and such about whether he'd play against Pittsburgh last Saturday. He did, and now he's with the team for the year unless he goes down via waivers.

Perhaps there is an NHLPA rule against conditioning stints during the Olympics. Given D'Ago accepted one already, I am surprised the team didn't send him down again to try and find his game.
