guys I missed the game how was Clune? I know he had 2 assists but did he play good enough to come back after the break?

The only issue with Clune is injuries. He has never been able to stay healthy. Nobody doubts his heart and he isn't the uber talent guy but every solid team has a Rich Clune on it...albeit a healthy version.

First NHL shift checks a guy into his own net
Draws a tripping penalty
Shove a d-man in the back after the whistle in the 3rd period of the Oil game
Goes to the front of the net and starts shoving guys after the whistle
Runs Anderson. Don't kid yourselves...he hit him on purpose.
Punches that vag Macleod in the face for the second time including pre-season. He is not worthy of the Highlander reference.
2 assists
Draws another penalty with a beauty head-first dive into the boards

The guy looks like an Avery without the dickishness to his teammates. He also was all over Durno on the way to the box and first guy in if something was going down. He looks like he's entering the league in 1998 and I love it.

If he can keep developing and Clifford does as well, you are looking at a very serious 4th line in a couple of years.
I like what Clune's bringing but let's not get carried away.

That wasn't much of a fight. If that's all he got he better watch himself in the NHL.

Like Avery or not, he's a good hockey player. Clune is not even in his league when it comes to playing the game.

The only thing they have in common is that they both like to yap and they agitate very, very well. That's where the comparison ends IMO.

I totally agree with your statement on the fourth line. This is a serious issue that seems to get left on the backburner. Clune is a nice starting point to building an effective fourth line.

Not even quite sure how he got the first assist as it was a pass from Richie to Scuderi, who shot and the shot was tipped by Richie.

Second assist was just something he tipped out along the boards and Moller picked it up and beat Anderson.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is, his two assists weren't Wayne Gretzky setups or anything but I don't think he was brought in to put up points. Points aren't going to be the determining factor to whether Clune stays or heads back down.

I think we all know why he was brought in and he played that role pretty good last night. I'd be shocked if he gets sent back based on the last two games.

He needs to do what many others before him have failed to do though. Just about every AHL call up stands out with high energy when they are first called up. For the most part that energy fades after the initial buzz.

Don't think this is going to be an issue for Clune as this is Clune's natural game. This is what he does.

I wasn't sure if it was that or if he was trying to choose his words carefully because he was playing in the big time and it was his first interview...( didn't want to screw it up and say something stupid)....

It's crazy what a legit golatender will do for a team. Congrats Quick, you give confidence to your team to find their game. MVP!!!!

A very well played game to close out the month of february.

The team as a whole did a great job of neutralizing avs' speed.

Quick was solid as usual, but I'm hoping he gets some well deserved rest over the next few weeks.

Yeah, I'd like to see him get some play in the olympics but I definitely think he can use the rest as well.

Avs broadcasters said (something to the effect of) LA was the fastest team they'd seen all season.

I am glad Scuderi is actually shooting the puck occasionally. He dumps the back into the corner 99% of the time.

Against Edmonton re shot the puck and got an assist...same as last night. Keep shooting Scuds.

Judging by some of the things posted in the GDT referring to the Avs announcers and their commentary, I wouldn't take it seriously.
