Really? I must have been watching a different game. Staal had a good rush up the ice in the 1st, then floated the rest of the game. Pitkanen took the opposite route, and decided to rest the first two periods, and only show up in the 3rd.
I thought Staal had a couple of good chances and entries into the zone. He seemed pretty strong on the puck to me.
It's a moot point, anyways. This loss is a success and takes us a step closer to the ultimate prize
Clearly, first ballot. Playing as he is simply so that the team can acquire a better pick, and giving up his number to said player when he arrives, is probably the most selfless act I've ever seen in hockey.
