Too bad Crosby's wearing 87. Was hoping he'd wear 9 like the WJC days. Was hoping they'd make them wear numbers under 31.

Tim Thomas is wearing #30, not #35--that's why Miller is wearing #39.

Tim Gleason (#4) and Ryan Whitney (#19) are injury replacements for Komisarek and Martin.

Cost isn't a big issues for me, but I'd really love to have the jersey. Anyone have any thoughts?? Thanks in advance!!

It's not a pro, but you can't customize pro jerseys. Saving up money for this one. Don't understand why it's more money than the others. Complete bs.

Does anyone know if Slovakia's roster with jersey numbers has been released yet? And if so, do you know where I can find it? Thanks in advance.

Since Mike Komisarek is out, I wonder if Pavelski will get his number 8

When does Russia release the numbers their players are wearing? I am interested in knowing if Varly is wearing #1 or #40

But there is a point for Crosby playing with #87 since he is born August(8) 7, -87.

Yea I know, 1987 too, but the birthday thing is weak, IMO. If it's something like Jagr then I can understand. (Wiki: Jágr wears the number 68, which he has worn through his entire career, in honor of the Prague Spring rebellion that occurred in Czechoslovakia in 1968, also the year in which his grandfather died while in prison.)

Higher #s are more of a "look at me" type of thing, maybe I'm old school in that thought. That's why I like the way the WJC does it, and makes players where #s 31 and under, more of a team concept IMO.

One guy played with a big number back in the days when only few used high numbers and got some criticism over the number he used, #99.

I don't care whats the jersey number, it doesn't make a difference in game. For example Jarkko Ruutu plays with 37 and 73, and he is always the same Ruutu that you guys love or hate.

Yeah, the Czech team looks good. Their defense is solid and they've got plenty of scoring up front. Dark-horse medal-contender for sure.
