No surprises here. They're clearly playing off chemistry.

I'm surprised to see Niedermayer and Pronger split up.

Bob McKenzie has Richards on the Toews and Iginla line, with Morrow the odd man out.

Am I the only one shocked with Bergeron on the first line?

It's due in large part to the past success Crosby and Bergeron have had playing together.

I still think that Stamkos or Carter should have made it over Bergeron, but thats just me...

Bergeron should not be on the first line.
Unless he ends up having insane chemistry with Crosby, I hope he gets bumped down to the 3rd/4th line.

No, that is just brutal, and so is the pairing of Weber and Niedermayer.

Stamkos has been on fire. Bergeron should have never made the team.

Canada is being too clever, I can't see Bergeron finishing on the top line.

Its just for practise. I'm sure they will be changing throughout the tournament like most teams lines.

The defensive pairings make sense with a left-handed player paired with a right-handed player.
The offensive lines are probably a trial-by-error process that will probably be an experiment through the first couple games. By the third game we'll probably see some chemistry

Too bad Stamkos went cold when the pressure was on to make the team in December. As Yzerman stated, they are not assembling a fantasy team, and instead are forming a 23-man roster that can play in all situations presented to them. Bergeron was selected for his almost 60% faceoff percentage (right-handed shot, which is different than the other top faceoffs guys), PK ability, strength along the boards, and chemistry with Sid.

Pretty much this.
Again, most people here only look at statistics when judging a player. I am so thankful that the Team Canada officials went against the popular method and actually watched these players in action before naming Team Canada.
A lot of you will be pleasantly surprised when you see Bergeron in action with NHL caliber linemates - I don't consider one of the slowest skaters in the league (Recchi) and a player who cannot finish (Paille) quality linemates for a player with his playmaking abilities.

I actually think he will be a surprise player, in a good way, going forward for Canada.

All this so called chemistry between Sid and Bergeron is being overblown.
They played a few games together, a long time ago.

I can't wait to see the "I didn't think Bergeron was this good" threads that are forthcoming now that he's playing with top level talent.
Actually, check that. Knowing this place, his success is only going to result in "Crosby/Nash are making Bergeron look good" threads.

Agreed.
You throw anyone of those players on Sid's wing and they'll form chemistry in a split second.
