I voted Ritola, but I predict Larsson to win.

Next rounds it will be Ritola, then Coetzee and Kolosov (I mean he is already playing at a national level).

It's this exact move that got me intrigued. after that I always kept an eye on him when got on the ice and every shift was pretty solid I think.

This year he's had a lot games in GR where it seems like he's all over the ice making things happen. But for whatever reason, he just doesn't produce the stats to show it. Maybe he just doesn't have much of a natural touch or perhaps taste for points.

Lack of skilled linemates is a big part of it.

i've been pretty happy w/ the way things have gone so far, but there's 4-5 guys that should be in there before either of Coetzee or Kolosov.

Hard pick here. With McCollum going, I could see Larsson going up right behind him, as I don't see either goalie being that far apart from the other as far as prospects right now. I like Joakim Andersson but I think he's a year away while Ritola will be ready next year and fill a similar bottom6 role. So I went with Ritola.

Add Fournier. Though at some point, I think Dick Axelsson needs to be looked at again. He definitely didn't do himself any favors with his running back to Sweden but it can't be overlooked that he has immediately started putting up points over there. On skill alone the guy's probably top5 but his head/dedication is such a question mark right now.

Kolosov should trigger the debate between potential and readiness. Next season, I can certainly see Kolosov being the first defensive call-up from GR, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's closer to making the team than a lot of us expect. But his upside is also that of Lilja.

For crying out loud, how can it not be Ritola?

I'm willing to add Fournier.

i hope we can see him play against finland, sweden and germany. that could be a good experience and he would finally face some NHL talent.

I'm not all that jazzed up about any of the remaining guys, frankly. Coetzee, Nestrasil, and Almqvist have the most upside IMO, but I went with Lashoff because lord knows the Wings could use a guy who according to RWC "has all the tools to develop into a Kyle Quincey type".

I'm not gonna mention Q again so if anyone thinks I'm restarting that argument, forget about it. I'm just sayin', the Wings could use a big mobile defensive defenseman that has above average puck skills, and their best candidate looks like Lashoff.

I don't like the chances of any of these guys to be NHLers besides Ritola, and I don't expect him to make much of an impact.

I went with Andersson.
Ritola is very overrated around here and at RWC.

Kolosov is the only prospect that I think has realistic nhl potential although, even he'll be nothing more than a role player. Most of the those prospects are the type where if they can overcome one or two glaring deficiencies they'll become exciting prospects but without it they'll be nothing more than AHL fodder.

The Griffins seem to always put him in a defensive role like they do for Emmerton. They know Ritola can score but they are making him work hard to earn his chances I guess just like they did with my man jan.

Good points about HTD. I was about to recommend him to get added. He still has 1 year on his contract and Red Wings management said he will be in North America next season and he is playing well in the SEL. This extra time will be good for him with the recent addition of a conditioning coach so he won't be injured with a random finger injury every other game come next season. Yes he has to prove alot before he gets back into the top 10 but he is still top 20 based of skill.

I had been convinced of this too until his call up with the Wings where he looked good enough for Babs to play him on the 2nd line. And since that call up he has been one of Grand Rapid's best players.

And most of us don't see Andersson enough to really compare them.
