Does Malkin use an s19?

During the Russia/ Latvia game, Malkin was using an Easton s19. I find that odd since he has his own curve for Bauer... Is this new or has he always used Easton?

looks like he has recently switched to easton sticks, he has always used bauer and occasionally warrior. Who knows if it it a true s19 or a stick with s19 graphics painted on...?

90% it's an st or se16 repainted.

Has to be one of those two, check out this link

The shaft is definitely box shaped at the taper point, not elliptical.

Is this common though that he has a Bauer curve but uses a different stick?

What stick was he using? Vapor or One95.

Also, a players' name on a retail stick means nothing as to the actual curve they use.

Malkin has been using a one95 for a long time now. It's possible there simply weren't any one95's he liked at the tournament at that time.

He started using the S19 about 20 games into the season.

No, he's been using the S19 for a while. If he's going for a similar kick-point I would imagine it's an ST repaint. SE16 kick felt lower.

I'm pretty sure Bauer dropped Malkin, or Malkin left Bauer. On the Bauer website he's not under the Bauer Team of players.

Happens a lot. Ovechkin used a One95 most of last year even though he's a CCM poster boy. Brent Burns signed a big deal with Easton then went to Warrior sticks two weeks later. Kessel also has a Bauer deal but went to Easton recently. Modano jumped from Easton to Reebok to Warrior.

Not in their skates, not in their sticks. I can see them parting ways.
