RWC's updated rankings: link
r0bert8841's prospect tracker: link
previous polls: [#1] [#2] [#3] [#4] [#5] [#6] [#7] [#8]

figured the last round would be close... but didn't figure we'd end up w/ a tie. for the sake of expediency, we'll name both Larsson & Ritola our 8th ranked prospect(s). let's keep it rolling and pick up at #10... so let us know who should be our 10th ranked prospect, and let me know who to add for the next poll.
added for round 10, Gleason Fournier and HTD.

Results:
#1 - (F) Tomas Tatar - 45.45%
#2 - (D) Jakub Kindl - 48.08%
#3 - (D) Brendan Smith - 47.06%
#4 - (F) Jan Mursak - 35.14%
#5 - (F) Gustav Nyquist - 54.05%
#6 - (F) Landon Ferraro - 50.00%
#7 - (G) Thomas McCollum - 26.67%
#8 - (G) Daniel Larsson - 32.26%

Emmerton is next on my list. I rank him only slightly ahead of Andersson though.

If Andersson was more like Sammy Pahlsson instead of Filppula then I'd probably rank him ahead of Emmerton.

andersson doesn't have the wheels of fil, but he has much more grit. he's not overly physical, but i don't see any reason why he couldn't become franzen-physical. and that would certainly be different to fil.

when hakan andersson was asked who the next swedish star in detroit will be, he answered "adam almqvist".

risky pick, unlikely maybe, but his ceiling is high.

Wheels are the most important thing in the NHL today. If his skating is that bad, he's not gonna make it.

Also, Franzen can skate like blao, so I don't think that's necessarily a good comparison.

andersson's skating improved a lot. it's neither a strength nor a weakness IMO.

and i don't compare him to franzen. i was only talking about the physical play. franzen is not the biggest hitter nor permantly grinding. but he's using his body a lot to create space. and that's what andersson can do as well.

the staff seems to like him a lot and i think andersson could become a 2,5 liner. useful guy and pretty likely to make it. and he's a nice guy too.

Being an inferior skater to Flip doesn't mean Andersson's skating isn't good enough for him to make it in the NHL. Heck, Flip is a much better skater than a majority of NHL players.

I've only seen Jocke play a few times, and his skating had clearly improved the last time I saw him. It seemed plenty good enough to make the NHL. I think he's a very solid prospect, he's just a bit unknown to a lot of fans here since he's still in Sweden.

All this time I thought he had the willingness to use his size and be physical kind of like Pahlsson. But after I saw a WJC game where didn't do much as far as physicality goes and when Hakan Andersson compared him to Filppula (because of his hockey sense and work ethic) I was a tad disappointed because while I love Filppula for what he is I was actually pretty excited that the Wings drafted a Pahlsson type. But who knows. He might adapt more of it when he adjusts to the NA game.

Yeah, I wouldn't get too disappointed yet. Wait and see how he fits into Grand Rapids next season. From what I've seen of him, he does play more physical than Filppula, but I always thought the Pahlsson comparisons were more because of his defensive ability than anything else.
