If anyone we should be looking at Radulov or Roman Wick from Switzerland.

Does anyone remember rumors last year that he(Wick) wanted to come back to the NHL? He is no longer Senators property now and is I believe a UFA. Kid is pretty talented and was one of the most dangerous Swiss forwards against Canada last night. Might be worth a 1 or 2 yr tryout deal.

Isn't Radulov still Nashville's property?

lol vaclav prospal HATED being called "vinny prospal", and he told everyone to stop calling him that about 5 years ago, but last year he said it was "ok" again lmao, so now everyone calls him Vinny prospal again

ziggy left the nhl because of shoulder problems though, and knew if he continued to play in the physical nhl he would never last, so he went to a softer league, and thats not a knock on him, i wouldnt want to blow out my shoulder every nhl game either if i had a problem like that

but man, was he ever a player, and he looks good out there, that whole slovak team does, the gold medal is anyones, EVERY TEAM has a SOLID goaltender its making for some fantastic hockey

and yeah, morozov had made it clear FOUR years ago he was done with the NHL, he was decent, but hes flourishing in russia, and enjoying every sec of it

Yes. However, I'm not sure what his "status" is with regards to the NHL, but I believe he is a free agent as his contract with Nashville expired in June of 09, I'm just not sure if he's an RFA or UFA.

No, his contract will just carry over indefinitely with Nashville. Which is usually considered another strike against the likelihood of him returning. He still has to play a year at $984k whenever he comes back to finish off his ELC. Whereas he can make triple that or more with vastly lower taxes in the KHL...

Thanks for the correction.

It seems a little strange to me that his contract that expired in 2009 is still considered "valid" and would just carry over if he ever came back, but then again he didn't fulfill his contract requirements so I can see it.

Basically, he's never coming back to the NHL unless that contract gets bought out/cancelled and someone offers him UFA money.

Morozov would be a solid stop gap measure (while waiting for Cammalleri) but we must not forget (as mentioned by Rgolt) that most players in the KHL are happy over there and have zero intention to play in North America.

Not entirely a fair assesment of his talent.

In his age 24, 25 and 26 seasons, he had 124 points in 174 games. In the pre-lockout NHL, that's not bad for an offensive-minded forward at those ages.

He's got the talent to put up decent numbers in the league now, 90 pts may be a stretch but he'd definitely be a solid acquisition for any team looking for offense.

He is staying in Russia. There are 3 to 4 million tax free reasons why. Besides, he has a family there and would not want to leave them or force them to come over to NA.

If he was that good and it was that easy to get him over some team would already have him here

Gee. I wonder why nobody ever thought of it. It's not like he's head and shoulders the best player in the KHL or anything. Not like he left the NHL and said loud and clear he's never coming back.

Marcel Hossa leads the KHL in goals with 32, I got to admit I thought he was going to be a solid NHLer, oh well.

I've been impressed with Jagr, but one guy I'd have interest in for us is Josef Vasick, if he was a cheap 3rd liner. He's having a good year with Yaroslavl in the KHL, as is Mattias Weinhandl.

Another guy that I hear is doing well is Stephen Dixon, former Screaming Eagle that's a UFA playing in the SEL.
