Wild Wingers Kids Club/choc Kits For Kids Donation Drive
HFBoards members, your help is needed!
Would a mod be willing to sticky this thread?
It’s that time of the year to start our 4th Annual Wild Wingers Kids Club / CHOC Kits for Kids Donation Drive and I wanted to see if I could get your help on it. Unfortunately, last season we were only able to sell around 800 kits for the children at CHOC, this year we have upped our goal to 2,000 kits. In order to do this, we are starting the promotion today. We need the message board's help more than ever, especially with the state of the economy and the costly medical bills for the families of these children in CHOC. Please help spread the word!
The Anaheim Ducks Wild Wingers Kids Club and Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) are teaming up for the fourth annual Kits for Kids Donation Drive. All Anaheim Ducks fans will be given the opportunity to donate a Wild Wingers Kids Club kit to patients at CHOC during the holiday season. Members of the Anaheim Ducks will take your donation and deliver it to each of the patients at the hospital in December.
The Wild Wingers Kids Club kit includes a ticket to an Anaheim Ducks home game, Anaheim Ducks hat, Corey Perry growth chart poster, Anaheim Ducks light-up pen, Corey Perry mini hockey stick and puck, Anaheim Ducks 12-month hanging calendar and much more.
For your help in this great cause, each donor will have the opportunity to earn a great prize:
NUMBER OF KITS DONATED / PRIZE
2+ / Autographed Anaheim Ducks Photo
5+ / Entry into a drawing to win your very own 20-person suite to an Anaheim Ducks game
10+ / Entry into a drawing to win an opportunity to eat dinner with Corey Perry at Red Robin and receive an autographed stick
For those of you who generously donate 4 or more kits, we have decided to give you a 20% discount ($20 per kit instead of $25) on your donation.
In these uncertain economic times, your donation is as important as ever. With the families focusing on their child’s wellbeing at CHOC, donations of Wild Wingers Kids Club kits will make a world of difference to these children during the holiday season.
This season it is as important as ever, with the way the economy is, many of these families cannot afford gifts for their children. Please help put a smile on a child’s face during the holiday season.

A handful of Ducks visited Children’s Hospital of Orange County on Wednesday afternoon to spread some holiday cheer to some youngsters.
Correspondent Tanya Lyon was on the scene and filed this video report.
Spoiler alert: Teemu Selanne, Todd Marchant, Scott Niedermayer, Ryan Carter and Petteri Nokelainen sing “Jingle Bells.”
From the Anaheim Ducks Fan Development Manager and head of the kids club kits:
We are right around 350 Kids Club kits from reaching our goal for the Wild Wingers Kids Club / CHOC Kits for Kids Donation Drive. We are looking for any help we can get at this time to try and accomplish our goal. A few of the players were able to make it to CHOC last week and hand out kits to some of the children, but we need more kits when the guys go back to CHOC and deliver kits to all the children.
Ducks Fans Donate a Record 1,700 Kids Club Kits to Patients at CHOC Children’s During Holiday Season
Ducks fans and supporters donated over 1,700 Wild Wingers Kids Club kits to patients at CHOC Children’s as part of the fourth annual Kits for Kids donation drive. The drive took place throughout the holiday season, with a majority of the kits being personally delivered by Ducks players during the team’s holiday visit to the hospital’s Orange campus on Dec. 9, 2009. Due to the drive’s success, the Ducks will continue to accept kit donations throughout the remainder of the season.
“We’re thankful to our supporters for rallying around this cause again in record numbers,” said Ducks Director of Fan Development Matt Savant. “With the donation drive being extended through the end of the season, we’ll have the opportunity to brighten the spirits of CHOC patients throughout the year.”
As a token of appreciation, each Kids Club Kit donor had the opportunity to win prizes provided by the club. Steven Lelewer of San Dimas was awarded (via random drawing) a 20-person suite to the Ducks contest vs. Columbus on Mar. 9 at Honda Center (7:05 p.m.). Jenny Klein of Laguna Hills won the grand prize private dinner at a local Red Robin with Ducks right wing Corey Perry.
“This is such a great cause,” said Klein. “How wonderful for the kids of the hospital to be visited by the players. We were thrilled to help out in any way we could.”
CHOC patients who received a kit will enjoy such benefits as a ticket voucher to a select 2009-10 Anaheim Ducks home game, hat, a 12-month hanging calendar, mini hockey stick and puck, growth chart and light-up pen. In addition, every Wild Wingers Kids Club member will receive discounts to various attractions and retailers around Southern California such as Knott’s Berry Farm, San Diego Zoo, Discovery Science Center, Aquarium of the Pacific and much more. The membership also includes exclusive Kids Club parties including the End-of-the-Year Party, which will be held at Knott’s Berry Farm.
Additional Kids Club kits will be delivered to CHOC Children’s in the spring. To make a donation to the Kits for Kids drive, please visit www.wildwingerskidsclub.com or call (714) 940-2801.
