Alt-LA

To LA- Kubina, Kozlov

To Alt- 1st, and a prospect

Not sure if it would fit cap wise for LA but Kozlov would bring depth on the wing and has won two cups so he should provide leadership. Kubina is a big upgarde on defence and both are ufa after this year. Alt gets a 1st and a prospect. I not sure what Alt would want in a prospect or what LA is willing to give.

The draft is in LA this year. I'd imagine it's going to be difficult to get them to part with their 1st round pick.

Kozlov doesn't interest us with his underperformance this year. Kubina, on the other hand, would be a logical target to bolster the top 6 defense.

well first off Darryl has had his eyes on Armstrong because his a gritty winger that can score to.The only reason I put Kozlov in there was because of his ability to pass and the flames need some good passers if you look at Kozlov's stats dating back to 2003-04 he has more assist that goals, and Krog is in there because i think he would work well with Boyd and Nystrom.

Ahhhh... seeing this bothers me every time.

The draft being in LA means NOTHING!

DL isn't going to assign extra value to his 1st because of where the draft is, he will determine its value the same as every year, by projected order (probably 20-25) and the strength of the prospects he feel will be available by the time the pick rolls around.

What's so important about the 1st because the draft is in LA? This isn't Montreal. No one here cares. Having a 1st or not isn't going to draw and extra large crowd to the draft.

99% of the people in LA don't give two craps about the NHL draft, or know when or where it is this or any other year, and those who do care will be going regardless of whether or not LA has a 1st, no 1st or 10 1sts, because they want to see the draft, period.

Atlanta would love to get Brayden Schenn. How about
To LA: Kozlov, Kubina, NJ 1st Round Pick 2010
To ATL: Schenn.

Another proposal for the same Atlanta package could be Jack Johnson + Oscar Moller.

Or if Atlanta wants to stock the farm
To LA: Kozlov, Kubina, NJ 2nd Round Pick 2010
To ATL: Kozun or Loktionov & Teubert or Hickey.

Great post. I totally agree. Besides if DL wanted to get back in the first round I am sure he'd pull something off at the draft.

That being said, i wouldn't give up LA's first for this package

Sooooo, Brayden Schenn is of equal value to Johnson AND Moller combined?

every single proposal in this thread is absolute garbage for one of the teams. some of them are garbage for both teams. well done everyone.

oh and by the way, kubina isn't going to be traded. he does however have far less value than many thrashers fans believe he does.

I'm not sure if this would work salary cap wise.
