I don't believe so. They'd planned to return to practice tomorrow for a while. I suspect they're allowed to resume practicing once the first Olympic teams are eliminated (today). Although, I imagine Kostitsyn (the only Hab eliminated today) won't be back at practice quite yet.
By tomorrow, eight of 12 teams will be done for. If the Czechs, Russians and Slovaks fall tomorrow, I think that's our entire team, no?

Pretty sure they are skating on their own, no coaches. Seen some players tweeting that they are happy to be back on the ice skating, so as long as it is an unorganized practice I'm sure it is fine.
You can't deny players the right to practice or play, they are at a disadvantage if they can't play and the Olympic players can.

Then why would they have to call to call up Mayer? Couldn't they just send him some money and fly him to Montreal "to hang out?"
