Vapor XXXX Stick

Hi there, I've recently been trying to buy a new hockey stick and was bidding on a lot of auctions on eBay.

Anyways, I got an X:60 for $190 (Shipping included) and now another auction just ended for a Vapor XXXX, which I won for only $100! (shipping inlcuded)

So I'm not sure if I should just get the XXXX as a backup for my X:60, or if I should just save that $100 for another stick of X:60-level Awesomeness.
I have an old Vapor XXX (Non-Lite) as my back up now, and it's not that great

I realize that $100 for a brand new XXXX is actually quite a magnificent deal in my opinion, my local hockey store is selling them for around $200 still. (I live in Canada)

Also, I have the X:60 now and it's awesome, when comparing it to my friend's 2008 Warrior Mac Daddy it was only slightly lighter though, how does the XXXX compare in terms of lightness to the Mac Daddy? If anybody knows that would be great, because I like the Mac Daddy a lot and if the XXXX is close to as good as the Mac Daddy, I think I can't go wrong for $100.

So what should I do in your opinion?

If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Thanks!

PS: Don't say that since I won it I have to pay for it, because I talked to the seller and he thinks he can get more for it the next time around so he's fine with it if I don't want it.

i would keep the XXXX as a backup. Its a pretty solid stick and as long as its the pattern/flex you want it'll be a good back up.

I've used all three. XXXX is the worst, then comes the X60 and the XXX is the best. The XXX just has the perfect feel. It's well balanced and really light. The X60 and XXXX are light as well, but they arenít as balanced and the puck feel is just weird.

just had my xxxx broken the other night blocking a shot. I just skated with the x60 today. same pattern and flex. didn't notice any difference. I also have a xxx that sits in the garage its ok but I prefered the xxxx. I think the x60 is a good replacement.

Seriously? The XXX feels almost heavy to me, the X:60 is as light as a feather and I just love it overall, it was a bit too light at first but you get used to it. It's been a while since I held a XXXX but it felt good when I did.

Anyways I've decided to go for it for $100, a good deal for the stick that was the top Vapor right up until a couple of months ago.

You guys are crazy. The XXX is possibly the best stick ever made.

vapor xxxx is garbage. balance is terrible cause of the reinforcement around where the blade and shaft are fused for the one-piece. feels like stickhandling with a golf club. i have two that i hate.

I have two, I can sell you one or both if you want?

Both left, gently used, one's a 77 Flex P92.
Other is a 87 Flex PM9.

But to clarify, you think the old blue and red Vapor XXX (non lite) sticks are the best ever made?

The vapor XXX Lite I can understand, I hear it's pretty good, but not the other ones...

Call me crazy, but I like the XXXX. Haters can hate, and send me RH 77 flex sticks.

Stop talking crazy and tell me if they're lefties?

And Anisimov - You're crazy man...I don't see anything special about the non-lite 30s.

XXX Lites were amazing -- Have you tried dolomites, they are very good sticks, you could get a 08 or 09 dolo for cheap. It would be a great backup, they are workhorses

Sorry, righties.

I like the sticks, just not the right curve pattern for me. P92 (Backstrom) 87 flex.

I respect the dolomites and all, but I think they're heavy for the money that you're dishing out.
I mean they cost more than a Mac Daddy which is about 25grams lighter.

Jsykes - That's unfortunate =/

A little late to the thread, but I loved my XXX. The only stick that lasted me a whole season. The blade split in two at the toe of all places last month. So after... 3 years of ownership I had to move on. But the last 3 years were the lightest (ankle surgery really limited my hockey).

Oh and, I moved to a vapor XXXX after the XXX. I definitely feel like I went down a grade.
